We need more people to help out with organising meetings among the forumites so we are trying out new roles of Meeting Organisers. We are looking for 4 - 6 of you.
So if you fulfil the following criteria, we would like it if you could join us as a Meeting Organiser for SMC:

Criteria:
- Forum member number less than 700 (or if this thread drags very long, then it's 30% off the latest forum member number in intro)
- Has made more than 100 posts
- Hasn't been previously suspended/warned for piracy
- Has been to at least 2 meetings that was posted in Events and Meetings.
- Friendly, decisive, and can take initiative


Roles and Responsibilities:
- Find a location for meetings that is condusive to the best of your abilities
- Organise at least 1 meeting every 2 month period each
- Meeting details must be posted in Events and Meetings latest 1 week before meeting date
- Facilitate the progress of meeting. Come up with meeting theme/purpose/target/reason/actvities or whatever else you can come up with. Initiative is the keyword. Meeting not necessarily magic based. E.g. Flourish session.
- Help out in major meetings that may happen for various reasons.


If you meet the criteria and think you can manage the responsibilities consistantly, then we would very much like you to help out with this aspect of SMC which has been most difficult in implementation and join us in the team. :)

While this is going on, everyone and anyone is still most welcome to continue to organise meetings/gatherings/outings in the Meetings and Events section.

The role of Meeting Organisers is a facilitative one, not a restrictive one.
That means even with Meetings Organisers designated, everyone is still free (and encouraged) to organise meetings for themselves.
Meeting Organisers are just part of the admin team who are commited to seeing regular meetings happen for SMC.

i.e. You DON'T have to be a Meeting Organiser to organise meetings/gatherings/outings.

But if you see the value of meetings and think you can meet the requirements regularly, then please do consider joining us as an Organiser.

Lukold has volunteered to take up the role of a Meetings Organiser and has been accepted for the role.
And [Ling] has volunteered to be transferred to Meetings Organiser role. She is the special one as she will be posting flourish meetings.
