Hi My name is Mike and i come from ***. I have been hearing some things that Aloy sent one of my other fellow members from *** a pm saying you doubt he can actully do any good tricks at all and stuff like that. Well let me tell you that since I have been on *** It has greatly improved my magic and if you say i am no magician that can only do tricks like 2 card monty or ACR but I actully know a vast amount of magic and have 9 years experience. I do shows and *** has helped me alot with that beacuse they not only reaveal sectrets there, but how to present the effects. Now if you wana cry about it being an exposure site then too bad for you, i think its a very good site with lots of experienced magicians. Now if you have anything to say to me come on over to *** and do it.

Mike

Mod's note: Good for you. We don't need people like you. Bye.

This joker is a 14 yr old kid claiming to have 9 years of experience. What does it say about these people?

I was recently made aware of some magic exposure forum who tried to bad-mouth us to their members.

I think they are too lame to worth our effort in replying, but thanks for those who PMed me to bring it to my attention.

Anyways, right here is an example of their leadership:
mike, their 14 yr old moderator.
The PM he was talking about is a PM i wrote to [A]lex when he 1st joined this forum and tried to spread the exposure forum.

And a fine example of their membership:
[A]lex (aka Shannon/Naruto) who is also Raven who created quite a stir at http://forums.singaporemagiccircle.com/ind...?showtopic=3986

So.....enough said. Hope that puts everyone at ease. B)

Honestly... I'm surprised an exposure site like that exists really. I mean, whatever happened to the Magician's Code? It's about respect to the craft and the arts... Don't give me all the BS about how many 'experienced magicians' are there.

Why is keeping the secret to a trick so important? Besides protecting the livelihood of all the professional magicians who do shows for a living, it is also to keep the audience guessing and help them maintain their sense of wonder.

By revealing the secret, you will actually ruin it for them and they will just feel dumb and stupid for having been fooled by something so simple. The next time you offer to show them a trick again, they'll just say, "Nah, it's just another one of your stupid tricks."

That exposure site mentioned above actually breeds a generation of HECKLERS. Not true magicians who treasure the art of magic and respect all its secrets.

And you know how much performers like us actually hate hecklers <_<

I agree with what Ning said, magic wil not be magical anymore upon exposure, audience will feel cheated and treated like a fool, it'll only bring magic to a new low.

Anyway, good job on Aloy's part to stop this post in case of another "war" going on here. ^_^
