Description: non original product

After look into penguin magic of selling their magic tricks through download, I realised a lot of their tricks are not original & actually belong to other magician who create it. I feel bad for the creator & such that I feel strongly not to purchase anymore download except original dvd's or manuscript. What is your opinion?

I usually buy Original DVD if the whole content is good and I like that DVD alot lol... Next I will look at single effect no matter instant downlaod or anything. If they are given permission and credit the right person to do so I don't mind either.. But one thing I hate about download is some have password and have to store in com when your com crash then you got to go through alot of trouble just to get that video back. So I recommend get DVD is worth you money lol... :D

Yes, its better to get in DVD, even though it might be slightly more expensive.

But look at it this way. A good DVD quality, can last a person for 30 odd years, before the data in the DVD start to degrade. The best DVD created, i remember is Maxwell, can last for 99 years. So consider that, your PC, cant last for 5 years and the prob of it crashing is like 90 percent if u are a com idiot.

So get a DVD, store it well and it will serve u well. :)

Hmmm i think zinally is talking about the moral aspect... how this is unfair to the creator....not the opportunity cost aspect....

My opinion is that there is nothing wrong with downloading if you paid for it and the creator is being credited....

but the thing is that penguin and ellusionist seldo credit the creator

Opz.. Haha!! I din know, my bad.

But still, getting the original DVD ensure that it will be credited. Downloads, no guar.. Somemore the recent case between jay sankey and penguin.

Well, we all know that Penguin and Ellusionist have been doing this before SMC was even created. There's really nothing much we could do except that it's our decision whether to boycott them at an individual level and not at a Country/Region level which is totally impossible.

E.g: Some people see their friends performing magic and they do a magic search on the Internet, if they aren't even serious about magic, they won't even pay a small fee to get that instant download, what i can say is that some magicians do start out from Instant downloads.

While the rest who just want to get magic to FOOL their friends so they can be the "BEST MAN" really wouldn't just give their money away to magic.

So Penguin and Ellusionist targets people at those level, and from there. Those people can choose to LEAVE and to search for other FORUMS or Dealers.

Penguin Forum was the place where i met someone(CLJ) who asked me to join Singapore Magic Circle - SMC.

So to BUY or not to BUY isn't really for us, but just for those starting out people who wants to be magician.
