Description: The one from Ellusionist lar...

I have been trying to glance the forum for this topic, seems like no one did a review on it. Sounds weird, ( i mean looks weird) since a couple of months ago everyone was so excited about cyril's coin through transparent glass.

So here I am back in Sg again...and ermm...just giving my two cents on the product itself. Sharing my exp again. =] hope it helps on all those interested in the product itself.

1] it looks pretty much like what cyril did in his coin penetration video routine in japan ( search youtube and you will know what i mean)

effect : show coin, coin placed on transparent glass table, hands penetrate under glass table.

2] Depending on how you wanna argue it, i believe, You, ie the performer can be examined. The video itself teaches you some basics on how to do coverups and ways to go around performing the trick. Depending on how you perform the trick, I believe you can get a signed coin, ( that will depend on your knowledge on coin tricks ) and it can be done. The teaching material is quite idiot proof.

3] The effect is fast and , I would say, moderately clean. Heres the link which i believe most of you should have seen. melting point (ellusionist)

4] The only setback is, Ghost coin is a total nonsense. I really think it sucks....Thats just my personal opinion.

5] Ellusionist is good at marketing its webby, look at the text that says "No Special Ring Is Required" Its highlighted in blue and they make it very vague. And they are right about it. but.....ahhahah its something like, " i dun need a cab to travel from orchard to cityhall, but im not saying im not gonna need a cab. " kinda thingy.

Hope it helps.

Actually, theres nothing wrong with the advertising on this. It really does not need a special ring.

The advertisement is like saying

"You need to take a cab to Orchard, but the cab does not need to be a Merc Cab". in a indirect way.

I didn't say they were wrong. I did mention they were trying to phrase it in such a way. Some of us tend to think, no special ring = wat? can do w/o it or something else?

Sorta open ended. thats all to it.

actually, i felt that by stating "No special Ring required", Ellusionist is telling people that a ring is required, but a normal one will do. Otherwise why even mention rings?

Guess its different types of interpretation. ^_^

Anyway, i agree on the point that Elusionist is great with their advertising :)

hmm...i forgot the cyril clip...did he wear a ring?

actually, after thinking through...i believe its possible to do w/o. but the presentation really is important. But too bad, after the clip is shown, lots of poeple will be burning on the hand.

I believe Cyril's act is different from melting point. As in most probably the d****ing method isn't the same. Watch carefully and you will notice that his hands were nowhere near himself. Unless of course he used the table, which I wouldn't be surprised.

Melting point is a fantastic tool which can be used to achieve the same effect as subterfuge and the raven. I would say that you do not need a ring though it would aid you.

Idea 7/10
Prop 8/10
Handling 8/10

Highly recommendable.

I do not remember if Cyril wore a ring or not but then again, CMP has nothing to do with Cyril.

It was never marketed to be on par with Cyril or even used his name in advertising and hence, it wouldnt have mattered even if Cyril did not wear a ring.

Yes, you can do CMP with the stuff provided without a ring and this is discussed in the CMP private forum with suggestions by Mariano himself.

Nah...i know its not using cyril's name , its just one of the stuff that reminds me of other performers. (we all know such things happen all the time) else i would have state in the topic "Cyril's version" instead of "similar to cyril's"

Anyhow, i still think the ring aid alot.

A no ring version that is just as clean is available if you own MP.

I'd say that after I got my CMP..

it was all worth it...

with the CMP, somehow, i started to be more innovative on how to use it..
how to ditch it..

even how to sit and how to misdirect with body posture...

After getting CMP, i dun think I'd need subterfuge or M5... not that i have seen them before, but i think CMP blows me away simply..

i am thinking of getting this but is it really worth the money?
coz if i get this....this will be my most expensive gimmick..lol... so any advice?
