he has two books that i know of on sale. they are "pure effect" and "absolute magic". one video is on sale as well and is named "the devil's picturebook" in which he explains card effects including his renowned "smoke"

Absolute magic was written when Derren Brown was still performing Card Magic so you will not find any methods or elaborations to his mentalism feat.

In addition, Absolute Magic is more of a theory type book which is supposed to provocate readers to improve their magic so don't expect to find effects in it.

At the moment, Derren Brown has kept mentalism methods to himself, and I strongly feel that is a good thing. While his work presently remains unpublished, respect and admiration for Derren Brown from the magic fraternity should focus primarily on his presentational ideas and performance persona.

One can learn much theory from observing the finer points of his performances. The least important of which is the method of his effects.

if you thought smoke was good, you'd love zamelia's rose.

likewise, if you thought classic force was mentalism at its best, you'ed love d.b.

I'm a diehard fan of derren brown
his book does help you to understand how his effects works if you rewatch his videos again after you read both his books.
