Very long and interesting clip :)
It says it's supposed to be 3 magicians, how come there's only 2.
Who is this Marco? Very interesting ideas he has, the whole using technology and multimedia bit. Very cool.
And the girl in red he uses for the jigsaw effect.....like drooling HOT!!  The miracles of plastic surgery. They have a nation of picture perfect girls there...*drool* :g:
The japanese guy is a little bit disappointing thou. Why they introduce him as "The greatest psychic magician" and then he start doing magic stuff?
And the whole "Street magic" bit...
I dunno...i think it's a little bit erm....er.....over the top. :ph43r:
i mean...dude....the audience cannot be THAT gullible to believe that it's really a girl off the streets whose butterfly you turn into a real one. -_-
It would have been better off to just introduce her as an assistant and do it? I mean, it's still very visual and amazing, even if it's an assistant.
Imagine if it's REALLY a girl off the streets....
"Er.....excuse me. That butterfly costed me $350 and 1 hour of tearing pain at Johnny 2 Thumbs to do. Can you make it come back?" <_<

Anyways, the magician's name is Marco Tempest. His
website rocks! This guy is amazing, he's been all over the globe. I hope he does come by to Singapore next ^_^

Wah, don't play play... she does the best magic! She can whip up the most yummy looking food and make you feel hungry at 11pm when the show ends :o
Korean female magicians... don't mess!!!
Aloy - April 21, 2006 11:03 AM (GMT)
I found part 2 of the show! :D
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIA97Oh-dfo...%20Magic%20ShowLarry should be happy to see the 1st effect of the Korean magician. ;)
That guy looks kinda farmiliar. Is he the korean magician who did underwater cups and balls at FISM? Someone more informed can confirm this?
Part 2 is also quite interesting. The effects by the korean magician are all real life effects, not those overly preped up effects that is the norm with TV magic. It's probably more interesting to watch it live than from the screen thou.
The only weird thing is how come the korean magician did his last effect with the shadow exactly as how Cyril did it in the Japanese TV show? Kinda weird, i thought for TV they would usually try to do something different or add their own touch.
And it's er....interesting(?) that he chooses to do a hand puppet shadow show as the finale. (?! :!!:)

Paradoxt - April 25, 2006 03:00 PM (GMT)
Lol SMC special would be damn cool. 15 episodes.
dimsumdemon - April 28, 2006 04:43 AM (GMT)
Actually...i dun think its that hard.
Other than Cyril, theres alot of magicians in japan whom perform live on stage. They are called in during talk shows or prime time chats or singer's specials and all they do is play a few tricks with the singer or talk show host. Its feasible. Taiwan shows does that also. I think if sg were to do it...it would be interesting... the only thing is, what tricks to do?
from jp...theres actually alot of reference and the interaction between the magician and the debut singers or hosts are really funny.... i've seen a few of this.
If local were to spun off....it might be a hit actually. lolx
anyway...this is sorta off topic :off:

Now then i watched this clips, and have to wait for the youtube to finish their maintence.
Anyway, Mr Marco's effects are very unique, never the doubt, its all abt presentation, people wont be really amazed, but will enjoy the whole technology magic that he came up.
The most disappointing will be the Japan magician, Been named as the greatest Psyhic Magician, The effects he did is not original to himself, but never the doubt, the effects are still great infront of the audience, notice that he was shaky towards the last effect?
The greatest impact will be the korean kid, So young and he is appearing in TV alreadi, His effect, the linking ring, was nice and sweet, even though we know that they preset it in the TV show, (Its no way that you can show the audience the linked rings so long) But it still did its part. As for ppl that are interested in this effect, to tell you the truth, its very expensive, my point of view is that, for this effect to have greatest impact, its better to get a good one than a half cannot make it one. Yes the cheaper one still can handle, but it doesnt convice me hard enough. The good thing about this magician, is that, he is joker in his way, he dun present himself as a god that can control everything, but he most of the time, joke about things to the stars. (Its TV show anyway)
Towards the effect that he did using the light, it is a great one. Simple, self made effect, but he dun make a big deal out of it.
Of all these effect that i saw, i like the cube one the best, show them the impossible, then show them the rest one. :)

Anyone knows what's that coin production that Marco did, is called.
It looks very clean, showing hand empty and then pop, the coin
is produced. The compere is behind him and looking over his shoulder,
so there's no way he's balancing a coin somewhere.
iNvIsIbLe - May 13, 2006 03:57 AM (GMT)
Correct me if i am wrong, i think is called "Trinity" at cultural exchange 1 dvd. This effect has been done by apollo before. The coin production is simple yet visual too. I like the handphone production which marco did. It was quite a surprise and cool.
