Ning - April 23, 2006 04:05 PM (GMT)
I think I sold the DVD to Markiebeth last year... if you need an order of the special napkins, just PM me ^_^ I think I may have a few new stacks still lying around somewhere.
Markiebeth - April 23, 2006 04:37 PM (GMT)
Tsktsk wrong person Ning, I didn't buy Mode's DVD from you, just the napkins. I must thank you though for imparting your fantastic napkin rose folding skills to me, though mine looks more like tulips. Certainly is something you would want to learn to hit on the girls :P
kinachi - April 24, 2006 03:42 AM (GMT)
I also want to learn to fold rose. Is there any way!!!
Markiebeth - April 24, 2006 03:46 AM (GMT)
Ning - April 24, 2006 04:51 AM (GMT)
Yep, that's the site... he teaches you a comprehensive step by step guide on how to make it ^_^
Let me know if anyone wants the red/green or pink/green napkins for this.
Cheers
Paradoxt - April 24, 2006 08:35 AM (GMT)

erm....this dvd and the website. Are they the same instructions??
Navarrone - April 24, 2006 09:27 AM (GMT)
Nope...
If they were the same, who would spend the money and buy the DVD?
The Dvd teaches creative ways to present the Napkin Rose, like making a scented rose, make the rose glow, print your name on the rose and some other....
But I think the ways of folding the basic napkin rose is the same...
sand king - April 24, 2006 09:30 AM (GMT)
ah ha!! all fold give girl right!!
Ning - April 24, 2006 04:47 PM (GMT)
Well... Mother's Day is coming up ^_^ Would be very meaningful to actually make something for mom rather than just purchasing something from a retail shop. Using the 2 tone napkins the effect is really very sweet... So I'm sure the guys here are probably thinking of doing this for mom rather than the pretty girl in class
Just my thoughts...
ningy ;)

Need any help lemme know :)
Markiebeth - May 2, 2006 04:14 AM (GMT)
Well my uncle owns a flower shop so it is a great alternative to those of you who still can't fold the rose, or fold it nicely. :) Don't use tissue paper to fold the napkin rose. Reason being tissue is just TOO soft and makes the rose look ugly. Anyway the term NAPKIN rose says it all already.
To be honest it would not make as a great gift to your girlfriend for an occasion. If it's just a gift then it's fine. Personal opinion based on experience.
sand king - May 2, 2006 08:14 AM (GMT)
Haha, too soft? na... dont think so, Handle with care haha

Rose fold by Ning was one i said nice and sweet. Order the special napkins from her, she will teach you till you know how to do so.
Ning - May 6, 2006 04:48 PM (GMT)
LOL... I like origami, it's fun to do things with your hands :) Well, just in case some of you don't know how it looks like, here's a picture:

There's also a webbie that teaches you how, but if you need help, just let me know. This is open to anyone really, not just ppl who want me to order these special napkins for them... it can be done on regular napkins but because this one's 2 toned, it's so much sweeter ^_^

Ah.. I think Simon Lovell's series has a part on rose folding with tissues or sorts.. I think it's pretty good, and impromtu.. Distract them with misdirection while you do it.. And it's.. real magic~ *poof Rose for you~
Ning - May 21, 2006 12:55 PM (GMT)
They come in yellow, red & pink ^_^ Most people get red or pink but personally, I think pink is the sweetest color of the lot...
Do place your orders before 22 May so you can get your things next week... check out the May Day Sales thready ;)
Thanks...
ningy :)
