Effect: Performer borrows a deck of cards, hands it to the spectator and tells him to remove and 3 cards from the deck. The performer then asks the spectator to lay the cards in a row (face-up) on the table. Turning your back, you instruct the spectator to mentally select any one of the three face-up cards. You then instruct the spectator to switch the positions of the two cards that were not selected and to turn all three cards face down.

Performer then turns around to face the cards and instructs the spectator to switch the positions of the three cards as many times as they desire. You then turn over the cards and immediately and correctly name the mentally selected card! Remember, these cards were borrowed cards; never touched by the performer, and there are DEFINATLEY NO STOOGES. The demonstration can be immediately performed again (if you want)!

I didnt create it..and revcard.. i really dont think your friend could have created it either. before i showed it around in Singapore I didnt see many people doing it(of course.. i do not know every magician in Singapore). I found out how to do it exactly from the kind of description that you gave(that someone else posted)..

Anyway, I have Created a four and five card version of this effect. And i believe these are mine.. :P

hmm.. Cool effect. Actually there are more than one way of achieving this effect right? I think impromptu underground, feason's aces and league decks should be impromptu in obtaining the same results.

i think that is not an original trick. I got it from some newsletter from some magic website... it is quite cool though, may blow ppl off if the atmosphere setting is correct. actually everything is just about showmanship thats all.
