i got this effect where a spectator thinks of a card.he then names the card. the magician takes out the deck, all the cards are seen to be blank except for the named card. this has no switches.

so... what do you all think of it?

Hm... think Solomon did perform a similar trick to me before but the card was actually chosen by myself not thinking of it. The card also has a different colour backing from the rest of the card.

It sounds like just too many things, just whats the point, I mean, if its special and has benefits above the rest of the methods that i speekth of, then its cool. If it doesn't and uses the same principal as those above, then i suggest not bothering.

well... if thats what you think... then i cant stop you... however, it gives me some insight into this trick... thkz

erm... fade out is all the cards disappear, blizzard requires a move, mental photography is all cards turn from blank to printed. this trick is rather self-working, does require any moves and only the named card becomes printed. works for every card whereas mental photography is difficult to do this effect. it can be done... but is much more difficult.

Just as I've said, the effect itself doesn't really tell much... Maybe it uses a cool technique like Fade Out does (not implying its the same. DUH!) But rather, the entertainment value should be a priority...

i dun see the purpose of this deck. the effect is the same as inv****** deck (and im willing to bet it works the same way). so d0ngd0ng is quite right in pointing out that the arrangement of the cards is like mental photography deck. mental photography uses b**** f*** and b**** b*** cards, invisible deck uses r****** normal cards and im sure this deck uses r****** b**** b*** cards. thats all! (this trick is not really original) not only that, it is telling that it is gimmicked, why wud anyone place a card into a blank deck? a normal person would place a card face up in a face down deck (invisible deck). wow, that was a lot of cen***ship.

A normal person would place a faced down card in a faced up deck!?
A normal MAGICIAN would do that.
A normal mentalist would leave a single card on the table faced down...
