Hi Everyone,
My name is Jerome. I've just joined this forum and hope to get to know more fellow magic enthusiasts. I'm surprised that we actually have a Magic forum right here in Singapore. Great works guys and especially to the founders of this forum, Thumbs Up my friend :) Just a little background, I'm pretty new to magic, mostly learnt from books and a couple of DVDs I bought from E. Hope to make new friends and learn more from all the pros out here.
Thanks again.

cards and coins...
for coins, i guess the ultimate utility move to learn is muscle pass..
Have u mastered it yet?

Aloy: Thanks :) I'm sure I'll gain alot here. Btw, I guess you're the administrator and founder of this forum?
Farbird: I'm practicing the Muscle Pass. I have to say it's a really difficult pass. I'm using a sg 50cent coin. I read here that some can do with 20cent. I'm amazed and applaud those who can do it with 20cent. Any advice on how to improve? What coin do you use?

Start with a bigger coin. Like M'sian 50 cents or US 1/2 dollars. Bigger coins are generally easier to start with.
There's some extensive discussions on this in the coin flourish section.

malaysian 50c coin is best for local context..
if u want to make it easy , go get a casino chip..
what I read on the net that the muscle pass was actually a casino flourish..
eg, shuffling chips with one hand.

My mom managed to dig up some old Singapore 50c coins. They're just slightly smaller than the Malaysian ones, but big enough for pratice. At least they make more geological and historical sense than M'sian 50c coins.
And imagine! You can get everyone to take out a modern, new 50c coin and put it on their palms, then concoct a whole story about how older things have more magic or spook in them... thus once in a while... they... JUMP! Hopefully at this point everyone runs away screaming and you just collect all the coins they dropped. If only it's so easy...
And hello jeromefang to the forums! I'm rather new myself, so just saying hello.

Farbird: I managed to find a M'sian 50cent, its indeed provides more control. Shuffling chips of chips with 1 hand, cool! That I've not seen before. The muscle is a nice little fluorish indeed. The only coin fluorish i know is the coin roll :P
Maddened: Hiya, interesting of you to include history & geography into the muscle pass. I was just thinking about an old 50cent coin last night but I manage to find only a M'sian 50cent. I like your idea of concocting a little story of how old things have little magic or mystery in them. Especially so when we can't find these old coins nowadays. It's gd to have such a theme for a coin routine. It'll really guide your audience into a realm of mystery. I had a friend in my army days who showed me a coin routine with the muscle pass as the opener, the rest were just simple sleights but it still amazed us throughly. Great thinking my fren, I'll add that into a routine. Thanks
