Hi, I'm planning for an end of year D&D halloween theme and thought this effect is suited.. since i'm doing walkaround.

Came across the said effect on ellusionist. What do you guys think?

It can't simply be the guy's arm around the assistant's body can it?

Or under the crouch area.. through the 'obstacles'...

can it? I wouldn't want to pay that much money for that kinda secret...

opinions??

thanks

I guess you got to buy the product and find out yourself. The Gutbuster has just been released, so its unlikely anybody has got their copy yet ^_^

Hmm. The worth you'll feel when you paid for a trick/secret/whatever is how you use it. If you use it well, the money would be well spent. If you don't then it will just be another waste.

IMO, gutbuster might need you to work on a self made gimmick. It looks really good for an effect, but I generally discourage people who want "buy and do it now" tricks to get it.

If you want a good effect, prepare to come up with the money and some effort.

As wise as that advice may be...

It wouldn't be pratical and it will be a total rip off if someone were to sell the balducci levitation for 200 bucks right?

Yea.. sure I can use it and perform it so that it looks like a trick pple would pay a thousand bucks to learn it...but it still wouldn't justify the price tag.... it just means that the performer is worth that much.. not the trick...
An exagerated example would then be selling the normal bicycle deck for 50 dollars just because I can perform a 500 bucks quality closeup show with it....

Btw.. the gutbuster comes with the gimmick.... as advertised.

And.. since I got at least five months before my performance..as stated in my previous post..., to perfect the effect... I don't think I should be classified under 'buy and do it now' .. I'm truly planning ahead for this gig... so that was why I started this thread to get pple's opinion on it....

Sorry if I sound sore.. it's just that false advertising had really disappointed me a couple of times. For example... jay sankey's three ring circus... " You can let them inspect the props!".. yet it requires a switch i.e. u cannot let them inspect the props...

Agreed.
Esp when some ppl use back a old and known effect, and using advertising/video tricks and word-playing to con ppl to get it.. "can be fully examined", "don't have to touch the deck", "un-marked", "impromtu".. I don't know but.. I feel so cheated many times..
