Nice effect.. Hope the dealer can help you here.

Anyway, its cool, but need lots of practise, force, switch, angles. Wow.. Its a hard effect to pull through. :)

Heavenstorm - May 15, 2006 04:42 AM (GMT)
yea.... its defintely hard to clean it up after the effect.

Heavenstorm - May 15, 2006 04:45 AM (GMT)
The closest effect i saw is this....but still not quite similar

Sel-Impact

llamalamer - May 15, 2006 05:56 AM (GMT)
Looks mechanical to me. But then even if it looks amazing, I doubt it is practical if you are doing it in street conditions.

Makes me really think that "too good to be true" effects always have a really bad downside.

Heavenstorm - May 15, 2006 06:42 AM (GMT)
well, yea i guess so but if its cheap....i may consider it..haha but i doubt it will be cheap.

vin87 - May 15, 2006 07:32 AM (GMT)
it look really good and i think its really gonna get big reaction even on all the "huh oh" kind of people, look at all the womens faces man. i wanna get it too! =P

Heavenstorm - May 15, 2006 08:23 AM (GMT)
I have emailed the guy from the 2nd video clip. see if he can give me more infomation about this gimmick. Will let you guys know when he reply me.

Ace - May 17, 2006 04:30 AM (GMT)
Its the moving pips effect or sel impact?

I'm also interested!

Heavenstorm - May 18, 2006 10:21 AM (GMT)
i email the guy asking the moving pips as seen in the cyril video... but he never reply me...lol..

freakshowjim - May 26, 2006 06:50 PM (GMT)
There is a few in the market, but cyril one is custom made one... anyway the ones avail is not good enough to be done close up, so... sorry cannot be bought one :P

Paradoxt - May 27, 2006 03:59 AM (GMT)
There is one that is shown in the black tiger gaffs preveiw vid. That one is very easy but like they said, hard to clean up and involves alot of angles and changes

Kazekage - May 27, 2006 04:37 AM (GMT)
If it is too angle-sensitive, will still work for videos right?
Hm.. Who knows one day SMC might be making a video and the gimmick can be put to use! Haha!

Paradoxt - May 27, 2006 06:01 AM (GMT)
I wouldn't mind doing an smc vid. lol

Ace - May 27, 2006 07:09 AM (GMT)
I got the gimmick. The effect is super good and you will get huge reactions. It is not that angle sensitive, just make sure no one is looking at you from the back.
For the clean up part just say " If i shake the card even more the indexs will change as well" *Execute any colour change you like, for me i did the one handed shapeshifter.*

vennomz - May 27, 2006 07:22 AM (GMT)
you can acheive the effect if you have the ghost gaff.the reactions are either violently amazed or silence due to shock.ive seen shoot ogawa do a similar effect using his multiple colour change techniques to seemingly move the pips of the cards

You mentioned 'shake' so did you get the Cyril's type?

Doublelifter - May 28, 2006 04:34 PM (GMT)
Ace, glad to know you're happy with the gimmick. Maybe you
can post a vid, would certainly like to see how you "do it".

Ace - May 29, 2006 06:53 AM (GMT)
Would like to post a vid! But i got no video camera lei haha!

For the handling and cleaning up i'm still working on other new ways. Now trying to use a c** so that my hands do not have to go back to the deck to ditch the gimmick.

And the gimmick i got is very similar to the one used in cyril's clip.
For Cyril the pips change from a 4D to 6D. 2 pips are moving horizontally.
The one i used changes from a 6D to a 7D with 1 pip moving diagonally.
Both are super visual!!

The one in the ghost deck cannot be compared to this one. In the ghost gaft your hands need to cover the card then the pips "jumped" to another position. Same goes for the Shoot Ogawa's 8way change. He need to cover the cards with his hands.
For this moving pips gimmick you can actually see the pips moving slowly without ANY cover!! Its creepy!! Just check out cyril's clip you will know what i mean.

bigbadwolf - May 29, 2006 08:18 AM (GMT)
The moving pips gimmick can be use on any deck is it?

Including the Ghost and Tiger?

Ace - May 29, 2006 09:15 AM (GMT)
Hmmm mine is Bicycle Red. That means cannot be used on any deck. Don't think there are any ghost or tiger version yet.

Kazekage - May 29, 2006 12:32 PM (GMT)
So.. Where did you get the gimmick?
Hope its not from a local shop :(

bigbadwolf - May 31, 2006 07:30 AM (GMT)
I've just got this gimmick from DoubleLifter. I really must thanks him for willing to sell it to us. I was really fortunate to have it.

It's a very visual and well made gimmick. What Ace said was right, compared to the Ghost gaffs, the ghost are nowhere near this gimmick.

Thanks again DoubleLifter ^_^

Glad I can share, if possible maybe one of you guys do a vid
so we all can work out the last part of the routine. Anyway
for the info of all those who are interested in the gimmick, sorry
to say the last one is for myself....maybe if this gimmick is
available in the market again will alert this forum. Cheers.

Kazekage - June 5, 2006 05:25 PM (GMT)
Actually, the last vid was mine, and I constructed my own gimmick :D
I'm not sure how the real gimmicks works and how clean it ends but my version in the vid isn't clean.

I'm making a better version right now! :g:
Hope it works out the way I plan it to be, (As clean as possible).

vin87 - June 5, 2006 07:01 PM (GMT)
