Is there a name for this effect ?

What i really wanna know is.....where to get the yahoo cards.

And more importantly.....are there Google cards?

The effect is pretty straight forward, and I'm sure almost everyone here knows the sleights involved.

Is there a name for it? Err.....there must have been a thousand published routines that are somewhat similar to this one since the 1700s. B) Because the sleights and handling are pretty standard fare. So I wouldn't worry about the name if I were you. :)

i have tat yahoo cards from IT show, i think 3-4 years ago, when Lycos starts in Singapore.

I am not sure about googles. :)

quite true, i think the camara man is having a view better than those sitting down. All the sleights seems to be explose unless you are a layman.

The combination create quite a stunning effect. Is there such books or DVD with combinations taught for non-creative card player like me ? :ph43r:

Anyway, its a simple sandwich effect. But its because its using deck that is found anyway, that ppl looks at it differently.

Anyway, that guy did it with BIG actions, too big..

That is just a normal sandwich trick.

He just did a Ednase follow by a P### to make it like the two cards went into the deck to search for his card....

Theres no name for the trick as a whole or should i say...i dun think there is..... =]

U wrote ARC three times some more.. Anyway, its not easy to create ur own ACR. Cause ACR have been popular by David Blaine, So even you have ur own routine of ACR, ppl will just say its ACR.

Unless, ur ACR is unique, in a sense, you did it face up (Justin did it before), or you did it with a red back card on a blue back deck.. Or.. I dun know. There is limit to this effect alreadi.

But i still think that ACR shouldnt limit ur presentation, I can repeat doing ACR with different ideas or speeches.. So up to you ba..

i agree with larry. actions are way too big. yes, a big action covers a small one, but when it becomes unnatural looking, it is suspicious. why did he even need to stand up and sit down again? weird...

juz think abt how u want to present ur acr (whether as a particular story, or to push a moral) and the exact sequence should come to you in time.

I recently created an ACR for a show I did in school, and I must say this ACR took me about... half a year to create. :) It's called W.T.H.A.C.R., and what is important in any self created effect is that it must link or relate something about you. When you do other magician's effects and you copy wholesale, chances are you use their patter and thus the magic is like "oh, so you can do magic". But if you add in YOURSELF into any effect, then it becomes "oh, so YOU are magic".

An ACR does not have to be ENTIRELY original, using ONLY your moves, ONLY your plot and so on. Although a new plot is good, it's okay to use standard presentation methods like colour changes, DL or whatever. I don't see why it must be so revolutionary like doing it face up, have odd backed card and so on. People are equally entertained and amazed by a simple ACR.

Anyway, on topic, the routine was nice and direct. Liked it. I wish i had such interesting cards for collection, like google, yahoo, maybe next time SMC cards.
