http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGYaRtTIq2IWhoa.
If he really came up with that and sold it to E or somewhere else, he's probably a rather rich fellow now. Heh.

Erm....he MIGHT have come up with this handling, but the principle behind it is a very old method that those who are keen with coin work should be farmiliar with.
I have to say it's a very creative and innovative handling thou, if he had come up with it. I haven't seen anyone handling the method this way before.
But then, I haven't really seen a lot so..... :g:

It sure looks good on camera. I think after reviewing the video, looks very HPC on the 1st vanish.(those "lao chiao" will know what this is. Haha. OLD OLD OLD OLD coin move.)
Aloy - May 18, 2006 04:12 PM (GMT)
It's not HPC dude...
It's not that type of sleight at all. And for the SMS/Wizard Ring obsessed, it's not that kind of stuff either. :D
Anyway, we are not here to dissect the video. B)
Thanks for sharing Maddened. :)
Maybe it's something some of us can use when making some videos someday. Or maybe I can try this at the next meeting....
Wonder if we need to email the guy to ask him if he's ok if we do that effect sometimes :P
LarryDK - May 18, 2006 08:42 PM (GMT)
Hmm, I have seen alot of this guy's video. And really can see he improving alot throughout the videos.
Anyway, its a great move or ultility. :) Even though i believe that this effect have alreadi exist along time ago, but he use it in this way. So i sure that if he sell this effect, he going to make big money. But that his problem.
Maddened - May 19, 2006 01:16 AM (GMT)
It's an old effect? Really? Boy am I ignorant or what... <_<
Well if he is marketing this, gullible guys like me would have bought it and then cursed about it after that I guess. Haha...
PS. I like his coin to bottle handling. Looks nice. But maybe only on video again. *shrugs*

The originators are Jeff Stewart and Meir Yedid.
exohordon - May 19, 2006 01:41 AM (GMT)
I believe John Cornelius released something similar. No sleights, no HPC.

There you go.... B)
Trust it to the coin siaos and the magic academics to come up with the exact reference and credits.
 :D
Oh, and old effect doesn't mean it's no good Maddened ;)
It just shows how much gems are lying below th surface of old books waiting to be re-discovered. B)

very true aloy, take paul osborne's and larry becker books, their effects are what sometimes we are looking today. even some not well-known magicians has a really great secret. So, it's best if we dig up some old magic books than those overly hype magic stuffs. one example was the stigmata, WH just improved on the effect, but i suppose Banachek has long release it in his video.

I agree that sometimes the old stuff can be just as good if not better. I was just annoyed that there I was getting excited over what I thought was some exciting new discovery. I ought to read up more. :P

pph3cy - June 4, 2006 12:35 PM (GMT)
I believe its an old effect. So far, I only have its manuscript. But what that magician did was his own variation using that method.
