Title: Office Magic?
muscleaxl - May 24, 2006 09:17 AM (GMT)
Is it practical to do card thru window in a office setting?
I don't know the secret behind this trick but it's highly demanded from my so-called "fans" back in office. A lot of them (after watching Criss Angel and Mondo Magic), wanted me to perform this. I don't mind to learn and perform but I just want to know is it practical.
Or there's another one, which I forgot the name, where you write some words on a piece of glass, the ink will melt through the glass to the other side. Anyone got this?

just a little reminder. Don't show them the trick the very next day after you learn it or you might reveal the secret. :D

http://www.ellusionist.com/order/adam-grace-glass.php?cat=i think i saw the review for this "glass" somewhere, not very good reviews. But that should not be the reason for you not to get it. maybe its your type of magic =)

why not do some effects with office stationary such as pens?such as "recap" by gregory wilson

Pen thru Dollar note. Quite a good and impromptu effect. But you must be good and have steady hands for this effect.

How about the superman levitation? ;) With your colls in a room, you just levitate horizontally across the door frame ala Superman  Would be wicked cool... wuahahaha... There's a clip somewhere I think you can google for, which shows the demo. Bet you can figure out how it's done after looking at it a couple of times... but still a very visually entertaining trick nontheless

Kazekage - May 26, 2006 03:39 PM (GMT)
Its a trick because I dont think anyone would sell video editing tutorials right? ^_^

Haha, Like ning said, its entertaining, but a hassle to setup. "-.-
Anyway, You wont wan to do card thru window and also the ink thru window, if ur office is in 70 storey and u are facing singapore river. :)
And it could be hassle to do all those, y not, do some effects with the things in the office, like pen thru note, pen and pen cap thing (I forget the name), some predictions, torn and restore, matrix with erasers. I think its limitless, consider that a office have almost everything. A leviation is cool, but you willing to bring the things there juz to impress ur mates by leviating?
:)

Sorry if im hijacking this thread, but you mentioned torn and restored and i got a question. I invented my own method of T&R. It's very primative. After the effect, i still got "some pieces of paper" that are left over. Any ideas how to ditch it or distract the audience?

Hard to say, but you can try fi**** pa**ing the pieces and hand it over for inspection.
While the spec is inspecting, you can ditch it in your pocket.
Not sure if this works well with your T&R routine though. :)
