Did u watch "The Elevator" by Peter Loughran. Self levitation that can rotate yourself & can use bare feet. Any comment on the product. I doubt it use balducchi levitation as it cannot rotate your body. B)

Yes you can do it bare feet hahahah but need lots of practcice before you can do mid air roatation.. hmm its not cheap.. lol :D

To me its not worth the 100 bucks. Looks kinda funny the way u actually levitate.
U need some practice to get it down.
And b4 the trick u gotta do a move that looks unjustifiable at times.

zinally - November 11, 2004 05:16 AM (GMT)
How about KR- King Rising vs elevator. Is it worth it?

Desmond - November 17, 2004 10:27 AM (GMT)
where to watch the levitation?

tai - November 17, 2004 01:20 PM (GMT)
i watched both of the effect and knew how is it done... to me both levitation is not worth it. U need to wear jackets to do both of the effect, 1 is to cover the gimmick and the other is to do the move. If u r really interested in self levitation ,Watch out for elevator 2 by peter loughran.

"It is a new
invisible compact device that will allow your spectators too see under your feet while you levitate,
do this without squatting, carry it all day without any special clothing!" as quoted from the webby.(http://www.masterofillusions.ca/master_of_illusions_coming_soon1.htm)

Sounds very nice. But becareful of false advertisement, sometimes an effect look good on video but is impractical doing live.

exohordon - November 17, 2004 01:55 PM (GMT)
U dun need a jacket for elevator.
What gave u that idea?

Sorry if i got it wrg..no harm done :)

Moondust - November 21, 2004 07:21 PM (GMT)
IMHO the best form of self-levitation is the Balducci, due to it's impromptu practicality and virtually zero cost. You'll need either a jacket, a shroud, a foulard or a gimmick for the other levitations in the market today.

That's where the good stuff ends. The whole friggin' world know how it's done. Fellow-member Illusionist even told me he saw it illustrated in a children's magic book!

Another example of excessive hype and a knowledged-based destruction of a once simple and effective magical performance :(

There is a do it youself version.. I'm not sure if i'm allowed to share it with you, another magician. Doesnt require jackets etc and can be done 360 degrees. The original allows only 180 degrees. Overall, i dont like this levitation that much.

Kings rising is taught with jacket.. Abit of thinking in to it and you realise you dont need it at all..

Elevator is great.. Some like it and some do not.. As for the intro move, i personally dont think you need to worry about it.. No one will suspect a thing. Unlike the video, the real intro doesn't look that weird.. In fact.. i dont even know why the video was filmed with the guy rubbing his ankles.. Not sure about it.. but i dont need that move in my elevator levitation.

is it the 1 which u can float over water or something

makanmonkey - January 14, 2005 08:51 AM (GMT)
I think for vids the one we did the last gathering (captured by Lloyd) is da bomb! B)

magicalee - February 4, 2005 06:37 AM (GMT)
the effect for elevator is not that gd as it looks quite funny as mentioned earlier on.... but elevator 2 definitely is a must to get it. It looks completely cool and it says that the spectators can virtually see no support under the feet. i will definitely get one if i have money. Haiz. as for king rising, it is a killer on vids but not for close up, i only successful performing once in school. as for balducci, it is the easiest and the most impactful one so far. Zero gravity is painful as in the gimmick is not delicate enough. and i m wondering when will aliun levitation come out. personally i dun think it will every come out after the released of elevator 2. hahaha just my 2 cents.

magically,
magicalee

BuaYa - February 4, 2005 01:11 PM (GMT)
Elevator 2 looks like crap. Watch the video and you'll see man. Elevator one is better than evevator 2. The ONLY benefit elevator 2 has is that it can be look under-ed. Elevator 1 has better features. IMHestO

Street Magic is selling it cheap because it's a rip off... do they give credit to the original creator? I don't think so.

Nicholas - February 18, 2005 10:04 AM (GMT)
yes Ning , you are right .

haha that time i went to street magic and buy a trick , ( collectors ) i asked the guy , who is the originator of this this?

he was like " eh , i dunno leh , go find out lor " lol :off:

haha anyway , elevator , wait till elevator 2 is out , get that , real cool .

elevator 1 is not bad but if the gimmick spoil then ... u have to make ur own or buy new one .
