Description: What would the decks look like?

A quote from channelnewsasia"
"Las Vegas Sands hit the jackpot by winning the bid to build Singapore's first integrated resort, to be called The Marina Bay Sands."I am not a gambler so I do not really care about how the stakes are. However, I am quite interested to know what would the decks designs be  Althou most (if not all) casinos do not sell their decks, unless canceled or 'disfigured' one way or the other.
Attached is their logo. Wonder would that be on the back of Bee stock, of course with Singapore on it and Marina Bay Sands.

it should be a standard BEE back just that the two side of the card will be round. so it will look like a mhmmm.. Nokia 7610.

hmm, i think they should be normal bee deck cuttings. The edges are usually only rounded when the decks are canceled by the casinos.

round? as in? OH NO!! my bikes look round. Are they rejected? oh no.
anyway, according to them, they want to make the casino as unique as possible. could the card be clear plastic type?! or black colour cards with red pips(see black tiger)?

The faces cannot be changed MUCH. Won't be some funky crappy cheap looking colour. Trust me on that.
The backs should be borderless, its a rule in casinos I believe... :< I like bordered cards.

I think they will settle on Bees most probably.

ANgel Decks? Arent they bordered?
theWeaver - June 1, 2006 04:36 AM (GMT)
Hmm.. My auntie got some back from US few years back, i remembered that they are bordered.. Not sure what brand thou.. Anyways, all used cards will be punctured in the center with a hole.. So it was quite cute.. Playing with puntured cards..

Lol...punctured cards...but i think it is a waste to puncture a card or cut a corner off...but i think they are doin this to prevent people from cheating or something?..cos you can always palm a card ^^
ming - June 8, 2006 11:46 AM (GMT)
Yes, it is to prevent cheating.
No, you cannot palm cards. In blackjack, you aren't allowed to touch your cards. In poker, the dealer will have to collect a fixed amount of cards from you, so it'll be pretty obvious if you palmed a card. Not sure about other card games, but I'm very sure measures have been taken to prevent cheating this way.

well, u can't palm cards, but surely u can have cards on you? =)
switch them! m*** them. lol.

It'll probably be normal Bee, for as far as I know only renowned casinos make their own cards. BUT, I wouldn't mind "The Marina Bay" Nuggets! :D Ok kidding. In any case, anyone going for the dealing course?

Dealing course? I'm in Tourism and Resort Management in NP, kinda associated with IR :P. And if I do end up working at the IR, you know who to look for decks :D .

Thats the whole point of not selling cards without rounded edges and holes. The cards used in the casinos will have normal edges and no holes, but the only cards that you can have access to have holes and rounded edges. So if you switch it, the cards would be very different.
