Title: Very Very Sinful
Description: Take note of this for Sinful

muscleaxl - May 30, 2006 05:33 AM (GMT)
Just want to share with you all this experience...

Yesterday, I finally decided to perform Sinful at my workplace. So i went down to the supermart and got a can of Diet Coke for the trick (for those who knew about Sinful, I think you should know why I got Diet Coke).

Luckily before I start, I did a dry run with my 20Cent coin and to my horror... let's just say the can was not suitable! I realized I had concentrated only on practising the handling and ignore the last part (which Wayne Houchin remarked: "It was the easy part.."). I immediately went down to check for other brands, even Green Tea but it was all the same. Finally, I used a sinful drink, Tiger Beer (cost me a few dollars more).

I am really quite puzzled as Criss Angel was using a normal coke in his performance. Is there really a difference between Singapore and US coke?

Anyway, for those who want to perform Sinful, please take note that not all soft drinks can be used.

Recommended: Beer or a drink called Pepper Coke.
.... or use a different coin.

If you look around super markets, you will find many cans meeting your requirements. Look for those weird looking non gaseous drinks.

In fact, if you modfy your handling slightly, almost all cans will work.

Yup, the coke cans over there is slightly different from those in Singapore. And the difference is at the crucial part required for sinful

But like what exohordon pointed out, you can still find the right cans if you look at other brands of drinks.

20 cents can still be used on our regular coke cans.

Just a different handling

Coke cans in here are indeed different from those in the States. This is due to the different manufacturers. If you can get your hands on a Thailand Coke can, you see a difference as well. After I got the effect, I went down to my supermaret downstaris to look at all the can drinks :P and just like what exohordon mentioned, look at those non-fizzy drinks.

Indeed the difference here forms the crucial part of the effect but that should not deter us. The presentation and patter you use can greatly convinence the audience and build up the effect till the last second. Remember "What the Eyes see, the Mind believes"

My 2 cents worth ^_^

Eh... exohordon, what do you mean by different handling? Can you enlighten me?

Sorry for my ignorance, but I can't see what kind of handling can make the can to be "suitable" for it.

Ah, 20 cent could be done. No doubt, I will suggest u spend time looking at the coin and the can. Maybe u get something out.

We cant say anything out, because will lead to the expose of the effect. :) So get ur coin and do the thinking..

:)

Tip: Aloe Vera cans and 50 cent coins.

Works like a charm.

I personally perform this effect when I see Aloe Vera cans or the same make of cans.

The cans in the US are 400ml where as the ones in Singapore are 330ml.

Eh.. I tried it with a 20cent coin and a normal Pepsi can yesterday, I would say it can be done but after much "work" which might increase exposure risk.

:off: THIS IS A OFF TOPIC REPLY :off:

one magican started off with can and coins, why all must go can and coins ?

Sorry, but i feel it's like "monkey see, monkey do ?"

we should invent our own trick !!!

Household Buttons thur Baked Beans Can. Find those not so thick tomato sauce baked beans cans and the effect will still be stunned... well.. at least can make a ah-ma or aunt stun and buy alot of baked beans home and try the trick.

or ...

Ear-Ring thur SEALED HL Milk (500ml, those need to be tear apart to get the milk). Make the Ear-Ring inside the HL milk. Stunning eh ?

Ha ha ha... I am crazy.. :off:

LarryDK - May 31, 2006 03:04 PM (GMT)
LV, i thought of those before. Unless someone is willing to go through the thinking. Or else, i doubt someone will come up with it.

When i finish my studies, i will continue what i have in mind. Thanks for the suggestions though.

What i can say is, it is possible to do a coin through HL milk. :) Sealed.

:g: so we use ear-rings, that way, u save the step to make the people listen when u shake the HL milk, for the ear-ring knocking sound inside the HL milk. just tell them, "it's gone inside the sealed HL milk !" :g: :!!:
