Guys I will be holding a meeting on the 9th of June (Friday) from 6pm - 8pm. The venue for the meeting would be tentatively at Pan Pacific Hotel. My friend would be giving a short talk on close up magic as well as provide some insights and tips on improving your close up magic.

What would be taking place?

530pm: Meeting up at Pan Pacific Hotel lobby

6pm: Short introductions of members / Getting to know each other from SMC :)

615pm: Short talk and lecture on close up magic as well as performance

645pm: Performance by any SMC member present who wishes to gain some experience on performing to a crowd or just for anyone to show us your new routines.

715pm: Sessioning as well as purchasing of items from the dealers table*

*Bear in mind that the cost of booking the hotel's ballroom is completely paid for by my friend. He will be setting up a dealer's table selling decks, sponge balls and other close up props. This will be at discounted prices and the proceeds will be used to cover the cost of the room. There is NO obligation to purchase anything.

I would be limiting the total capacity to 20 persons. Those who are interested, kindly leave your name in this thread as well as PM me with your contact no.

Certainly. Bear in mind that the main theme on this lecture is for those who are just starting out in magic. Of course this does not mean that the more experienced ones cannot join in.

For people who wants to go but cannot confirm as of yet, please do so asap. Also as mentioned in the first post, the room at Pan Pacific is subjected to booking which I am currently trying to get done. Awww... Sadly. i came late. its already 20 person.

The room has been confirmed already. Basically according to the person in charge, the holding capacity can take in about 20 people. However there will only be 8 seats provided for. This means that the rest would have to stand around. Maybe first come first serve basis for the seatings then?
