Title: Awesome Green Laser
Description: Laser Deal, anyone?

Anybody saw Lennart Green's Laser Deal before?
After watching the clip, my mouth was left wide-opened... I mean, it's really a killer! No wonder he's a world champion!
Any idea where can I get to learn this one? And anyone here had master this?
I have heard from a magician friend that only one guy in Singapore can do it and he happened to be from a local magic shop. But I am not too sure is he the ONLY guy who can do it in Singapore.

I've seen him live in Singapore a few years back. He is a very funny and friendly guy.
You can find this in Vol 6 of Green Magic Lennart Green. This uses the snap deal.
I've seen a few other magicians who can do the snap deal. One of them is our member Nique Tan. Cool!

Err....it's a little kua zhang to say only 1 guy in SG can do it. :g:
I've seen Kevin do this at a jam session like almost 2 yrs ago.
And I've seen Enrico from IBM do this during IF Magic close-up competition last year (he did a "reverse" coin matrix where instead of putting the coin under the cards, he put the cards "under" the coins).
I also strongly suspect a lot of the serious card bluffs in SG can do this move, I wouldn't be too surprised if a few of the guys in here have put in some time and effort into the snap deal.
But whether they do in their their regular routine is another question.
You can learn it from one of the Green videos, forgot which one thou...

The Snap Deal can be found in a set of notes from Lennart Green. In it there is the actual mechanics of the sleight, as well as other applications of the move. Bought them from Mr. Green during a Hong Kong convention back in 1999. Then attended his lecture again here some time ago (with Bernard - magicdow, haha).
I never use it to demonstrate the "laser deal", where the cards vanish. Personally I feel it's too obvious, even though it looks really great. I use it regularly as a control, mainly for table work.
PM me if you've any questions.

No, he is not the only one. You can learn it from his "The Snap Deal" manuscript. Alternatively he has a video on it. Very powerful move indeed. FIY, the first time he used it on FISM, judges thought he cheated and disqualified him. Go figure.

Erm....actually, Green was disqualified from FISM the 1st time not because of the snap deal.
He was disqualified because the judges were convinced that he used stooges (he didn't) in his routines.

Just to add on to Aloy's comments.
Rumours has it that Lennart Green was disqualified from FISM because he used gaffed cards. This was not true according to Richard Kaufman. Gimmicked cards are allowed in FISM.
Here's a quote from Richard on Genii:
"Lennart was disqualified because the judges thought he was using STOOGES to shuffle the deck. The use of stooges is against the rules and grounds for disqualification. The second time Lennart competed, he insisted upon using the judges to shuffle the deck. That was the end of that problem and he won first place in card magic."
