i'm really sorry if this has been brought up before, but i browsed through all 20 pages of reviews and i couldn't find it.

maybe i missed it. but nonetheless, can anyone provide me with a review? i heard it's good and all.. but what exactly is inside? i can't find any good webbies about it, either..

i don't even know if it's in stock anywhere, anymore. haha

This book is Out of print already.

This book basically teaches the psychological generalities of spectators. And also other interesting and useful mentalism stuff. I personally do not do mentalism, but then I find that this book very useful even for everyday life.

Imagine being to read a person's mind instantly when they aer asked to think of something? That is the book to find. 70 Thumb tips up for me!!

You cant find this book anywhere else already. You can try ebay, but don't expect it to go cheap.

of course i know what's inside! :g:

its supposedly a must-have for those considering mentalism.
its like the textbook for mentalist. haha~

that's an exageration. but you get the idea.

thanks, anyway. :)

and uh, no, i'm not really much of a mentalist.

I thought the textbook for mentalism was supposed to be Corinda's book.
Thats what I hear most people talking about anyway..

zib - June 6, 2006 11:40 AM (GMT)
oh. oops. my mistake, then.
no wonder i'm not a mentalist. :g:

The bibles of Mentalism are generally considered to be the Corinda and Annemann books. I think Psychological Subtleties is something that would be useful only after you're fairly good at mentalism and stuff.

Of course, if you think that Corinda and Annemann are too old-fashioned (and they are somewhat old), read Bob Cassidy's 39 Steps to Mentalism for a list of books that he thinks any beginner should be reading. I have to say though that his case is strong... Which means I have an excuse to buy more stuff...

Kenton Knepper, being who he is, thinks everyone should start with the Tarbell Course. HOWEVER, if anyone is thinking of getting the one from lybrary.com, do note that most of the mentalism stuff in the Tarbell Course come in the later volumes which were written by Harry Lorayne and are NOT available in the e-book version that lybrary.com is selling. Tough I know. <_<
