Title: Coins Across Rountine

Doublelifter - June 7, 2006 08:01 AM (GMT)
Guys, I plan to adopt one coin across rountine and concentrate
on only that one so that I can really master it real good. Which
one will you guys recommend, one that if possible just be done
with the opening and the closing of the fist, no or not much of
criss-crossing of the hands or finger pointing. Thanks.

One of my favourite coins across is PDQ II by Paul Harris. This can be found in his book Art Of Astonishment vol 2. Its also in one of his Stars of Magic video.

If you don't like criss-crossing or pointing with your finger, you'll need an extra. If there are no extras, you have to do at least a HPC or similar type of sleight to replace the "pointing".

Depends on do you want table or standing. Gaff or gaffless. One ahead or sleights.

I do the David Roth's version frequently because its simple and direct.

For table work, here is one my favourite coin assembly with a coins across plot and a kicker ending:

"only four" by daniel garcia---found on project vol 2!!! it requires only 4 coins and hours of practice.

OR the one found on jay sankey's best of vol 3!! that one requires 3 coins and practice too!!!!

Oh well. ^_^

1 thing i have to add. both can be done with normal 1 cent coins(haha actually every coin also can.) jay sankey's one is best done standing up!!!

Thanks guys for yr contributions. I'm interested in the standing
version and without gaffed coins. Cheers.

You'll have to check out PDQ II. Stand up version, no tables require.

You can try the 3/4 Across from Greg Wilson's On the Spot.

It's a "standing up" trick, no need table. But quite difficult, need to know the Tenkai Pinch.

Or less difficult one is Hanging Coins by David Roth which can be found on his Expert Coin Magic or Michael Ammar's ETMMM Vol 1.

Boomerang Coins from my book 21st Century Coin Mechanics uses only 4 regular coins and my original sleights. It's the only coins across I do. No extras, no shells, just pure sleight of hand that YOU can learn.
