Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls,

For all you aspiring magicians, Magic Unlimited 2006 is here! For those of you who hasn't heard, Magic Unlimited is a local magic competition for amateur and semi pro magicians.

Heartland Mall – Kovan (HMK) and Parkway Parade (PP) are organizers for Magic Unlimited 2006. Street Magic and Novelty is the event company managing on behalf of the organizers.

This year, the competition is only for stage magic category. You can download the application form at the bottom of this post.

IMPORTANT
A few things are changed from the instructions in the form.

1) The deadline for application is extended to 11 June 2006

2) There is no need for a performance video anymore. All interested applicatants are to show up for an audition this Sunday.
The audition need not be for the full routine that you are competing in, just a partial act is enough.

Interested applicants please email for an appointment time and further instructions for the audition.

The competition dates, time and venues are
- 17th June 2006 (Semi- Final Junior Category) HMK and PP 1pm
- 18th June 2006 (Semi- Final Open Category) HMK and PP 1pm
- 24th June 2006 (Final Junior Category) PP 1pm
- 25th June 2006 (Final Open Category) HMK 1pm

The Prizes
1st Prize:
$1000 Cash + $700 Voucher

2nd Prize:
$500 Voucher

3rd Prize:
$400 Voucher

This year Magic Unlimited 2006 is for amateur and semi pro magicians. Parkway Parade and Heartland mall is looking for young blood in magic thus they instructed me to ensure that no professional is allow in this competition.

This year they also want to see how good our young magician perform thus they have a new cat. for under 18. I am really happy to see the Enthusiasm of Parkway Parade and Heartland mall. PLease do not let them down. Show them that we are better than what they expected.

For your info, we will having the audition this coming sunday.

Heh... I just got the call from the organisers of Magic Unlimited confirming that I'm in ^_^

I'll be competing in the Open Category of this Sunday's Semi-Finals. This is quite interesting because I only decided to go for the audition at the last minute... that's when I met Blackwing (painted white fingernails!!!) & AhliShufi (nice jacket, man! I only came in jeans!) yesterday ;) So, they're the only ones who know ('cept for Aloy, Bob & Steven- who I met at the shop).

It would mean so much to me if you guys could lend your support and come for the show... winning is really secondary, I just want to enjoy the experience and have fun, so seeing friendly faces and friends (you guys- the amazing people i know!) would mean so much to me, honestly :lol:

I heard that there are many veteran semi-pros taking part in the Open Category too, so it's going to be a spiffing good stage show! B)

Nope. What i know are basics. Basically all my materials come from Dixie Dooley. Good for performance. Not good for competition. I can't possibly join without believing in it.

yup..its at both place...same time...i have the latest info.in heartland mall,there would be a total of 5 competetors.but in parkway parade,there would be 7 competetors.this is onli for the junior category.

So where's the SMC members going to be? I live like 20 mins away from Heartland Mall so I can definitely go down if there. ^_^

Had planned on joining but when I went there for a form, they said I needed to submit an audition tape, and since I have no access to any camera, I didn't join. Heh.

on a lighter note, for those who watched me performed earlier, i will appreciate it if u guys can give me some feedback. may it be good or bad, i am all ears. very much interested to noe my weak points so that i can work on them. perhaps, u might want to suggest on how to make my act better next time... anything. just shoot.
