sorry to leave so early guys.
it was really great! the lecture had a lot to do with sponge balls. :P

More people turned out today. but i don't think it reached 30. :huh:
oh well. one thing about today's lecture was that it had a bit more exposure than expected. :lol: well, i thought that usually the secrets to doing the trick is taught to those who bought it but jim just said to everyone. :ph43r: haha luckily those were easy and normal stuff found in most magician's wardrobe. :P

OH! Did i mention that it was COLD!!!! 2 aircons and1 fan cooling a small part of a room that's like 3m by 4.5 m? that must have been how david blaine felt frozen in ice///

Interesting things that happened:

Mr. Pambuid aka MagicalPam wore this shirt that says " Too much SEX makes your eyes fuzzy." And the words were printed in a very unclear fuzzy manner. :D however, he had to pull on a pullover over this phrase during the thing due to the cold!!!

Phil from Phillipines(no pun intended.. :lol: ) came all the way from Phillipines to witness SMC in action. :!!: haha he did a mentalism trick that he invented 2 years ago and i left when he was explaining it. :wacko: dang..

Jim dropped a sponge ball that he was going to put back into his mouth. :P and he was advertising the direction of his shop and his products. :lol:

Aloy came late!!! :blink: :!!: haha big news.. :D sorry//couldn't help it. :P

hmm, i think that's all. Someone who stayed throughout have to do the performances part. :(

I would like to thank JIM(for enlightening everyone on balls!!!) and mark for organising this!!! :g: BTW, i was the handsome one in the black shirt and white pants sitting behind Nick. :P

Yo Aaron, reached home already. lol. Yup, it was cold, real cold! Jim was an expert with his stuff. Those who didnt come have to wait for the next meeting which is organised by Jim any along with Aloy and other people.


Did have fun even though it was mostly for beginners.

Many thanks to everyone for taking the time to come for this meeting. Well Aaron to make you feel a little more at ease, the 'exposure' wasn't as serious. As with all lectures, there will be teachings and such. The simple props that were sold are basics and foundations which will help you build up your magical path steadily.

Thank you to Feil, Nick and Pambudi for your performances, they were most entertaining and fun. It would certainly would have been better if some of the new faces did some effects. I hope you guys will get over the 'shyness' or 'I'm not good enough' stage the next time round :)

Aloy was late but thanks for coming anyway despite being down with the flu.

Oh and for those who bought anything, please bear in mind the prices were reduced by at least 40%. Many thanks to Jimmy too for offering these better prices for the peeps in SMC.

Last but not least don't forget to put into practice what you guys have learnt today. Cheers!

So I almost CMI around my camp le, cant do anything, and its so cold even in a normal room, i dun know how i going to survice in that freezer you guys are in.

Anyway, hope its a great event. :) I certainly hope to be in one soon, and recover soon.

The air-cons there does not even have a remote controller so we are unable to turn it off lol!!..But the meeting was great ^^ Get to know some of the little stuff that you just missed out in your routine that makes it look nicer.Definetly hope there will be a meeting like this. Jimmy is a great guy isn't he? lol!! Those who never join us come along the next time ^^..

then we brought all the barang barang to the "clubhouse", dash across traffic lights that were blinking, as well as 09 secs on the clock. finally we reached the club house, went through some wrong doors, but made it anyway. then mr magician realised something. he forgot some of his props! lol. so ya, we went back to the shop and mr magician went to get his props. lol.

after that, we picked jaspas up along the way to the mrt station.
get to saw him perform a little routine. i got owned, big time.

o yea, jaspas used my black tiger deck. ITS A USED BY JASPAS DECK!
its going for $100 SGD any takers? :D

we made our way to the mrt where we met the others over there. poor mark had to stay there and herd the remaining lost sheep.

then we made our way to the clubhouse. yeps.

performance have been covered in detailed already i suppose.

thanks for the great prices jim, organisers for making the event possible, people for turning up, as well as guest performers.

anyhow, nick will be going for the UM 2006, so lets wish him gd luck.

Overall I felt the meeting was good. It was great to see so many new faces.

However, I was truly disappointed with the amount of people who performed. The point of performing is to master your craft even further. I noticed that only the older members and the more experienced members performed.

Come on guys, no one is going to laugh at you if you perform badly. Lets all take our art forward. If we don't perform, we don't improve.

Jimmy said that some magicians can be hecklers. Its true. But, I promise you, none of us at SMC will try to bring your name down when you perform. I'll be hawking those who try to expose other's performances.

Magicians are good audiences. We clap at the end of every performance. Thats good enough.

I would like to see more performances from the newer members at our next meet. It doesn't matter what you perform. Go ahead and do a 2 card monte, or a 21 card trick. We can help you to improve on your showmanship.

Yup, great meeting. its fun. And its COLD.... I wanted to perform but it seems more of the pros perform and none of us so I did not. lolx. If not I'm like a out one out.
