Pretty good....
your erdanse is well practised. You need to watch the angles for the mercury sequence. And you have to find a better motivation for your hands in the marlo miracle change.
No major flaw. The only thing is maybe these exact same stuff are in like 30,000,000 other magic clips all over the internet. And the editing wasn't spectacular or innovative...
Just...you know....seen too many of the same stuff again and again and again....So it's not terribly exciting.

Ya like aloy says, its common, not much things to mention. I dun rem the names of all the change loh. Aloy got good memory le.
Good job, maybe nxt time show a routine. :)

Was the change before the snap change sequences the Axis Change? It was pretty well done.
Nice ^_^

Yup I know. Saw many colour change video before. But most of them are just one colour change for just about few sec or 1 min or so. So I decided to make a video with different colour changes. Still common but its just for the fun. :P

I like the way it's so clean looking. Well done.

This is NICE. It will knock lay people crazy.
But, like the others said, for magicians, it's kinda like "just another CC vid".
(but, but... it's very good entertainment. ;) )

Well done! Smooth neat and clean,, Probably just watch a bit more of your angles during the Mecury.
jeromefang - June 20, 2006 02:27 PM (GMT)
Very nicely done. Can see you've put in a lot of effort in the colour changes. Good job, keep it up. Just like what was mentioned, watch your angles for your Mercury and ty to lossen up a bit. Some parts were a bit stiff. All in all a good job ^_^

Yeah thanks.. About mercury, I actually did it when I was having fever so I did not watch out for the angle and maybe a bit unatural.

Sorry, but which one is the Mercury?
And what's the name of the change that you fanned a few cards and wave it over the face card?

The part where the four blue-backed Kings turned red, then became Aces. And that change is the Emperor Fan Change, if I'm not mistaken.
About the video, your Miracle Change looked a bit stiff, likewise with the Spin Change. Other than that, I thought it was pretty well performed, though the cards could have been tilted a bit more during Mercury.

Well done Gabriel, Nice done up video.

The card changes were, in general, all very good.
In particular, the following were great
-Erdnase Colour Change: One of the best handling I have seen
-The ten*** change was really smooth
Spin change and snap change were good. The standard for these changes (by everyone else) are all rather high and within a small range, and your handling falls within this.
The pass is well executed (just watch the angles, maybe incline the deck forward slightly).
In the limited shots of the window change and fan change (only with the change and without the steal), both is good.
Miscellaneous changes were ok, though a little suspicious (maybe only from a magician's perspective).
For the little packet trick, I had a little problem with the thickness of the packet. This can be disguised by angling the packet downwards so less of the edge is visible. Another way would be to reduce the packet size by incorporating false counts in favour over the ascanio spread (allows for the removal of 1-2 Kings and doing a suitable count. A flushtration or rhumba would work for the backs the first time.).
Ascanio spread seems a little overused, but suggested ammendments as aforementioned may reduce the use of it to just the end. The spread is done well, but can be improved to make it smoother and the cards just flowing over one another.
Illogical sequences where a card is transfered from the top to the bottom should be eliminated either by looking at it from a technical perspective and changing the sleights used, or by giving meaning to the move (like removing the top card to show the changed card and replacing it on the bottom, or using the top card to wave over the packet and replacing it on the bottom).
Lastly, I feel personally that it would be better (at least clearer to the audience) to just turn the packet over normally at the end instead of resorting to the spin change.
Nevertheless, I congratulate you on this short clip both on technical as well as overall presentational success.

Wow. Thanks for the comments. Working hard to improve. :P

I'm with Gordon,
After Mercury, when you turn over the packet to reveal the aces, do just that, turn over the packet. The shaking of the cards serves no purpose.
But a nice video to watch overall.
What is the name of the colour change in which the deck rests in your left hand and your right hand covers the cards for a brief second? Whatever it was, it was very nicely done.
Good job!

Nice color change, i like your snap change. but i think there's a little too much repeated change. Maybe add a few more stuffs? Just my opinion. =)
But still very smooth to me. Haa i still can't do color changes well. =( Nice one there.
CyberMew - August 2, 2006 04:26 PM (GMT)
Yup its good. I also viewed your 2nd volume levithan and it's also good.
Also, he shake it when doing the Mecury so it also sort of act like colour change, but yea maybe it's unnecessary.
