So, I'm back from the Magic Unlimited Finals at Kovan Heartland Mall. I think the guys are just beginning to leave or something when I'm typing this. It's 6pm. I left early cause I'm too young XD 14.. Too tender an age?

Anyway, we all watched the Finals.. and gathered together after that before going to Coconut. There were 6 performers and I'll leave their detailed performances for someone else to type out ;)

This is my first SMC meeting, and I feel that I've learned alot. Nice to meet the SMC people.. Like Fuming and Blackwing~

The performers did well though. This was my 2nd SMC meeting and Im familiar with some of the guys there. I left the same time as MilkCar did as I needed to attend service at Church so I could not stay for long.

By the way, did Blackwing had a talk on how to cover passes etc?

I missed that part of the meeting. Bummer <_<

Anyway, I did have fun though.

Today's gathering was great, it was informal and mostly get to know each other and just magic talk.

Our special guest was Mr Enrico! :!!:
He was sharing some thoughts on the latest topics in Theory And Philosophy backed with some eye poping magic. Those of us who were hanging around him learnt more than a bit. B) Damn it was GOOD! :)

Fun meet and it was great meeting some of the very farmiliar nicknames in the forums for the 1st time today too. Finally can put a face to some of the great posters in the forum.

LOL... another guest star was Mr. Kiki Tay (thanks for the ride in your car, bro!)... who managed to squeeze some time to jam with us over @ coconut groove, while enjoying a beer ;) All the best for the SAM magic show tomorrow!

Sorry i couldn't mingle as much as i wanted with you guys... was honestly feeling a bit shagged after the finals @ heartland mall ^_^ i'm looking forward to the next session though, so see you guys real soon!

Yesterday was my 1st SMC meetup. I have to say it was a very fruitful experience :) I made many new friends and learnt a lot from the jamming session.

It was an eye-opening experience to chat and watch Mr Enrico, our special guest share his amazing work. Listening to his magic theories and philosophies really made me appreciate the insights of this art. Thank You Enrico for sharing with us. You were amazing! :!!:

All in all it was a great meetup and I look forward to the next jamming session.

Aloy: Next time you'll won't need to feel uncle anymore hehe... :P With memebers like me and Axl joining you ^_^ Thanks for making SMC happen. You go Bro! :lol:

At first I was a bit apprehensive about the gathering because of eh... the age gap between members. I actually looked through some of the profiles of the guys and *gasp* most of you are in your teens... oh no, for a moment I felt so old.

But luckily there are still oldies like Aloy, Jerome and Maddened...

Anyway...

1. Lai (I-Never-Regret)'s Linking Rings was fantastic, it's the first time I see a close-up ring performance, and it changed my perception on ring magic.

2. Of course, a big thanks to Enrico for all his tips (and his witty humour), especially on the Snap Deal.

3. Blackwing's tips on pass proved to be very valuable too. I will always keep the "bad pass but good misdirection" in mind.

4. Congrats to Ning on comin 3rd. Only I felt your performance might have been better with music and a storyline. But I was truly amazed by the burning newspapers.

5. Realized a lot of you guys are into flourishings and most of you do it very very well... made me want to be a flourisher too. Just hope that you all will stay focus on magic too.

Ah I liked the meeting.

I felt good when 2 members approached me, shook my hand and thanked me for presenting a lecture.

Anyway, Enrico was great! I loved xirtam.
