Check out this 2 guys....

Their magic is great but it is much more than that.
I love the way they use drama in their presentation, and give it such an interesting storyline. Not just simplistic storytelling but a short story kinda feel.
Wow....i really love it. Everyone check it out and say what you think.

But the other stuff by them on Youtube is not as interesting as this one. Sigh.....
I love the idea of how we can hear his inner thoughts and then how he fights the split-personality/voice in his head thing. Very fight club. Very fun.

Anyone knows what is the effect with the 1 card in card box prediction? It looks very interesting.

Yeah...

Also, the rubric's cube one...

that was excellent.

Any one know what that's called?

O and what's the guy's name?

Kevin - July 7, 2006 08:52 AM (GMT)
There are several versions of the Rubic Cube's insta-solving effect (thus called because I can't for the love of Norris remember the name of it), the first of which I saw was on a lecture tape of Daryl's. JC Sum did it in one of his shows as well, so if you ever meet up with him at a coffee shop or in the bathroom of an airport, feel free to ask him more about the details of the effect.

The two guys performing are Barry Jones and Stuart MacLeod ("Mc Loyd" for all the slydecixs out there), known usually as just "Barry and Stuart". They're known in the UK for their Channel 4 series "Magick" (which is very spooky indeed), and also for hosting the show "When Magic Tricks Go Wrong", which I saw, and... well, let just say I'm never going to do the spike-under-cup effect. Ever.

That's my ounce of shite for the day. Scoop it up with a pitchfork, will ya?

Wow...

u mean the cube isn't gimmicked?

That's pretty darn awesome...

I like the way they progress with the storyline. Although some of the tricks were half-anticipated (hinted by the narrator), it was still a brilliant performance. Very entertaining. ^_^

That was really humorous, enjoyed it!

The presentation of it was what many consider good (that magic happens by itself, to the magician, and all the effects are weaved into a storyline).

If u guys are interested in the rubics cube, you can look for jeremy tan. He's been playing with the rubics cube for some time and, he's been know to solve any puzzle in about 1.5 mins. Try it out with him the next time u see him. and by the way a rubics cube have 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 different positions

1.5 minutes isn't that fast. My classmates and I went through this rubics cube phase last year, and the first month of this year. Haven't solved one since though, as the stickers are coming off.

Very special type of performance. Like the whole presentation. Something very special to do.
