Hi Everyone,

I've always been interested in learning Coin Assembly routines both the standard matrix with cards and the bare handed version which is commonly known as Chink a Chink routine. I rather not to use extra coins so I did a seach on the web and found the Dean Dill's Extreme Dean DVD set are recommended. Links to the DVD is can be found here:

Extreme Dean Vol 1

Extreme Dean Vol 2

Appreciate if coin conjuerers here can advise:

- Are Dean's DVD are well-taught and good for learning coin assemblies?

- Can the effects inside be impromptu?

- Can it be done with local coins, say our 50 cent?

- Must i use a close-up mat? Can a regular table with a table cloth be sufficient?

I just want to buy one dvd, which would you guys recommend? Hope experts here can offer me some advice. Thanks ^_^

Here's the answers to your questions.

- Are Dean's DVD are well-taught and good for learning coin assemblies?

The instructions are very clear and there are many variations to coin assemblies.

- Can the effects inside be impromptu?

Some of them can be done impromptu but if you carry E[ with you, then it can look impromptu for all the routines in the DVD.

- Can it be done with local coins, say our 50 cent?

Yes and no. Unless you have the local coin [.

- Must i use a close-up mat? Can a regular table with a table cloth be sufficient?

Not compulsory to use a close-up mat but it'll be better. But you have to do it on a soft and smooth surface.

I think both DVD are pretty good and I don't know which want I'd recommend. So I'd recommend both of them.

Thanks Magicdow your answers, it has cleared many of my doubts.

Glad to know that a close-up mat is not compulsory and that some of the effects can be impromptu. As for whether our local 50cent can be used, you said Yes and No. Its a bit ambiguous. Do you mean:

Yes, local coins is possible but only if you have the local coin [
OR
No, local coin is not possible unless you have the local coin [

Appreciate if you could clear my doubts here. Thanks a million ^_^

If you have the matching [ for your local coins, then you can do it. But obviously, you can do routines that don't require extras. Hope I've answered your doubt.
