can i still do magic using one hand?

Actually perfomring one-handed might be a good idea to emphasise that no sleight-of-hand is used.

But just ensure that the performing of one-handed does not become a display of skill of being able to pull off stuff with just one hand.

You might want to try out some self-working card effects, maybe even some mentalism effects.

Mentalism is the way to go :) Use your mobile phone instead of a sketch pad. Or self-working tricks that allows you to sit there, give them directions and the work is done...

You've really have to give it to Rene Lavand.. The sleights he can do with one hand.. Geez.. Makes me ashamed of the two-hand-handled mess of cards on my lap.. But i don't know, as a normal person performing with just one hand, i feel that either
1. you will appear to look like a fool.
2. you will appear to look like a very arrogant fool.
But of cos, with an excuse like injured hand, all's best for learning the one handed sleights and tricks~
