For those who ordered the shirts, the shirts have arrived and please make a trip down to the event to collect the shirts, and post if your coming so i know if i have to bring your shirt.

Ning - July 21, 2006 05:39 PM (GMT)
Thanks Raoul & Lukold! ^_^

Guys, please report EARLY ok? :) We just need to go through the ground rules, etc. so PLEASE DONT BE LATE!!! Please be there at noon, this is a request from CCF as we may start earlier than what's stated. The 2nd bunch can come earlier as well, as the event may end earlier than 5pm as previously mentioned in the other CCF hfh06 thread :)

Look for me (all of you have my number), I'll be there to brief you guys ;)

Thanks... cya guys real soon!

Ning

Lefty - July 21, 2006 09:41 PM (GMT)
Bring my T-shirt down?

fume - July 22, 2006 04:25 AM (GMT)
Lukold, i'm coming, so bring along my shirt :D

Do we have to wear our SMC shirt during performance?

Ning - July 22, 2006 05:04 AM (GMT)
Yup, that would be ideal :) Those who don't have them, as mentioned, pls wear a suitable black top... thanks!

Raoul - July 22, 2006 09:41 AM (GMT)
Just to confirm attire:

SMC shirt/Any black collar t-shirt
with
jeans or dress pants?

Thanks,

- Raoul

Ning - July 22, 2006 09:55 AM (GMT)
Jeans would be good enough, and proper shoes please  No berms and flip flops!

Once again, it's gonna be at the indoor area at Suntec's Fountain of Wealth. Make your way to the basement restaurants, you'll find us at the core. Cya then!

Maddened - July 22, 2006 02:40 PM (GMT)
On this night before the show,
I wish to all, all that luck may bestow:
That all things shall go well; be swell,
And everyone returns with stories to tell.

Stories of laughter, cheer, and joy;
Flowers from the efforts of your toil.
Amazement at your wondrous skills,
Even as awareness in them you instill.

Thus I wish that one and all tomorrow may forsake logic,
And revel instead in that briefest touch of a pure magic.

Ning - July 22, 2006 02:44 PM (GMT)
Gosh... you ARE an angel... :o :D  ^_^

Thanks Maddened. You're the sweetest! It's a really beautiful gesture.

ning :)

Hi Lukold, I'm be going down tomorrow. Don't mind bring mine and Axl's (muscleaxl) T-shirt as well. Both of us are M-size. Thanks ^_^

Maddened: Wow, I knew you were humourous from the threads that you posted but I did not know you were poetic as well. Thumbs up to you dude

I'm not as poetic as Maddened :P but I like to wish everyone the best of luck tomorrow and have all the fun in the world. Enjoy yourself so that when you have fun performing, your audience can sense it, and naturally they'll reciprocate the same behaviour. Wow the crowd with your skills and make our SMC name one they'll never forget. ^_^

Ning: Kudos to you for taking time out constantly to plan such events. You deserve a BIG pat on your shoulder "Pat.. Pat.." ^_^ I look forward to seeing you and eveyone else tomorrow. :D

Lefty - July 22, 2006 07:02 PM (GMT)
So i guess i will be collecting my t-shirt tommorow??? Then i would just wear a blue top, since i will be changing anyway. :g:

AhLiShuFi - July 23, 2006 03:14 PM (GMT)
oh gosh.... That was probably one of the worst performance in my life.... So much for "stage" magic.... I can't believe the stage was like that. For those who were there, you know what i mean. It was not even a stage la. And the audience were like only 3metres away!!

I felt more like as if I was doing closeup magic with stage props. Damn stupid! And throughout the whole 12minute act, I was super duper distracted. The kimage people were standing practically almost behind me, seeing through all the tricks. It was almost like an exposure session. Darn... I feel so guilty after that performance. Being so distracted, I messed up soooo many moves. Forgot what I need to do, which hand to take what, and everything.... terrible terrible...

Nevertheless, I would like to thank everyone who helped me out setting up the stage and packing up the stage. I brought alot of things today thinking i'll be having a real big stage to myself. I couldn't have done it without you guys.. namely Benny, Aloy, Ning... did i miss out anyone else???

cioxxx - July 23, 2006 03:50 PM (GMT)
oh man, that doesn't sound too good. chill man, you'll get bigger stages (literally and figuratively) to perform on soon.

Aloy - July 23, 2006 07:23 PM (GMT)
Chill shufi.....there were some hiccups but it really wasn't THAT bad. :)
And there were some real geniune reactions from the crowd at quite a few climaxes too. Good thing Ning & Benny were there that we can clear out the place without any significant exposures.
Anyways, the stage arrangements had some last minute changes which we only knew about today.

Today was GREAT FUN, but looks like everyone is too burnt out to talk about it now.
Thanks everyone who took part in today's event. Jinx, Adeline and Lefty were working very hard at the balloons booth the whole time. Ming must have taken a gazillion photos thru out the whole day. And all the walk around pple tried their best to perform as much as they can from what i see. :) Falcon, Shade and Tim (Shade's student) looked just dashing with their outfits too ;)

A special mention goes to Shade. I dunno how many of you guys caught what he was doing with his close up table at the entrance but it was AWESOME.
Like....woah...not-funny kinda awesome.
Not only are his effects real killers, he made a tremendous effort to customise the patter and presentation to fit the event.
I kid not, he was actually educating the public about the facts of cancer and children cancer and the importance of support from friends and family thru the magic. And he had real nice customised "story cards" made too.
It was reall REALLY impressive the amount of effort he must have taken to come up with all that. Salute! B)

And finally, a big round of applause for Ning, who has been coordinating this with a frenzy for weeks! But her work is not done yet.....there's still next week, and she's got an act as well. ;)
I sometimes don't give her enough credit because she's my gf, but a lot of these things happening around here in SMC couldn't have come to pass without her hands in it.

I'm also burned out from the day's activities. More stories from everyone else later...

yong_tianadeline - July 24, 2006 01:00 AM (GMT)
Yes yes it was GREAT! :D

Yesterday's event was my first and also the first time meeting up with you people. And i am very happy to say i am looking forward to next week!
It was good to see so many people trying to help the kids with cancer.

Even though there wasn't as many kids who'd be wanting balloons as i thought, we still did quite some balloons. I thought it was quite ok but i still collapsed by 1030. My fingers are still sore..

And Shufi, though i couldn't see whatever you were doing from the booth, i could still see the audience. It didn't look as bad as you said. :) Give yourself some credit!

Yay. I'm looking forward to next week!

Oh. I nearly forgot. *Clap Clap Clap Clap x 100* Is that enough??
PS. Ning jie you looked prettier in person than in picture! :P

cioxxx - July 24, 2006 01:22 AM (GMT)
man, it sounds like the bunch of you had so much fun performing! ok i'm gonna go up to Hua Guo Shan and hone up, then i'll join you guys soon!

xuanweng - July 24, 2006 02:52 AM (GMT)

<Aaron> - July 24, 2006 02:02 PM (GMT)

ming - July 24, 2006 02:15 PM (GMT)
The photo is being uploaded with the rest of the photos.
You guys really want all the pics? Its like 200mb

kennection - July 24, 2006 02:18 PM (GMT)
Stay tuned for some clips of the event too! though reali badly taken. sigh!

lukold - July 24, 2006 02:33 PM (GMT)
MING, WHERE ARE THE PHOTOS!!! I've been waiting for them eagerly! one thing you can do to reduce the size of all the photos is to take out the "badly" taken ones, i'm sure there are some, and! You can open every one of the photos with paint, put a dot in the photo and save it as jpeg, the file size would be reduced significantly.

Aloy - July 24, 2006 02:34 PM (GMT)
I will set up a FTP for you to upload the photos later Ming......

Daraketh - July 24, 2006 03:18 PM (GMT)
Haha 3 people with et at 1 place is crazy..

Actually the 3 of us were planning to shock someone just as the photo was taken.. lol dont know if it was caught on camera though..

i only remembered getting beatened up by lefty for shocking him hahaha..

ming - July 24, 2006 03:35 PM (GMT)
Alright.. I'll upload some to photobucket first. Then when the ftp thingy is setup, I'll post the rest online. They're uploading now.

ming - July 24, 2006 04:20 PM (GMT)

Hey guys!!!

Sorry i haven't been online... got caught up with some projects and got really busy, it's only now that I can sneak in some time before sleep to post this :)

Sunday was amazing! I hope you enjoyed yourselves as much as I did (and the jamming session after was simply fab!)... I'd like to thank the following AWESOME folks, besides the CCF people who love SMC so much.

Just wondering, did you all see our SMC logo and credit mention of 'official entertainment provider' in their huge banners and stuff?)... Yeah, that's YOU!!! Cos you're a part of SMC!!! ;)

A BIG THANK YOU:

Adeline - for being a really responsible balloon I/C (you came so early!) and being really brave in her very first gig with SMC. Your balloons are great, my dear!

Lefty - for being really sweet and a good sport, pumping balloons really quick and making very pretty stuff too. You did great man... thanks for wanting to be a part of this!

Challenge - thanks for swinging by in the afternoon despite your busy schedule to help out at the balloon booth!

Ahlishufi - your stage magic act was nice, don't worry too much! You did the best you could with what was throw at you so be proud too, that you decided to be a part of CCF's event!

Jaspas - for amazing entertainment as usual, and for taking time to relax me with your super cute mentalist neko-chan trick (knowing how much i love cats) when you saw that i was a little stressed out... you're such a sweetheart!

DTJK - your ET rocks, er, shocks! it's a great variation for close up magic, and ur story about the zapped girl was really hilarious!

Mabas - i know you're really busy with school, it's really great to see you again and still wanting to be a big part of SMC despite your crazy schedule!

Shade & his 2 tu-di - Dude, what can i say... you rocked!!! If you decide to leave your job, seriously consider making magic your 2nd career. I'm really glad your students helped too, and they were wonderful!

Raoul - my tall, dark and handsome friend... your magic was great and i really like your personal touch where you engage and draw people in. Good job, and thanks for joining us despite your busy schedule. It means a lot to me that you still want to be a part of this, tho you'd be leaving for the States soon. You're sweeeeet!

Lukold - for rushing down with the SMC tees and doing some wicked HOT magic after. You're so cute leh, all your funny antics with your kaps on fire wallet... lol

Blackwing - for rushing down to do the first stage show, you're a good sport... and a hit with all the girls, as usual.

Falcon121 & friend - You looked absolutely snazzy in that blazer Jon, and pls thank your friend for me too, for helping with the event captures... do post the link soon!

fume - you're great, and i really appreciate your generous giving spirit in wanting to help in all the charity gigs i've been doing so far!

Ming - for being such a sweetheart, being our official digicam guy and sticking around for the entire duration, you rock!

Nyx - for giving support and encouragement to the balloon artists & for playing shutterbug too!

Kennection & friend - for lugging around that heavy divicam to film us, it isn't easy and i truly appreciate it! i'm sure the vids will come out great!

Magicdow - for swinging by with family, specially selling me extra balloons cos i wasafraid the 400 i bought for the day weren't enough. And for making me that really pretty balloon flower braclet too, that Blackwing wanted. Haha!

Aloy - What can i say baby, truly... without your support, all this wouldn't have been possible :)

Everyone who came by to lend support (yes, you know who you are!!!)- Thank you for being such ANGELS! It meant a lot to the performers and also to CCF, that you were there.

The next (also, final) leg on this will be on the 30th as you all know it... and I can feel, that it's going to be an EVEN better experience now since all of us know what to expect and how to improve our workings with the given location, crowd and conditions.

Once again, you're amazing. Pls give yourself a big clap on the back ^_^ Thank you & cya this Sunday!!!!

Truly,
Ning: exhausted, but happy -_-

Ning - July 24, 2006 06:46 PM (GMT)
Thanks for those who came down to help record this event... do make your photos/ vids available soon. I had a couple of captures with some kids, cancer kids and CCF shavees that i really look forward to. I got to know some really amazing people at the event as well, and they were impressed by our magic.

Keep it up folks, you're doing GREAT!!!!

ming - July 25, 2006 10:19 AM (GMT)
Oops. Fixed it.

Ning - July 25, 2006 10:27 AM (GMT)
Thanks Ming  Where's the rest? *eager*

:g: :g: :g:

ming - July 25, 2006 10:46 AM (GMT)
I'll upload the rest when Aloy sets up the ftp. It'll take forever to upload it to photobucket.

Shade - July 25, 2006 02:04 PM (GMT)
Since I have a small break from work, I thought I'd post something... :P

It was a very enjoyable experience - and extremely fulfilling.

Ning - Great job holding everything together. You made things happen. If they were auditioning for angels, you own the job.

Aloy - You were truly outstanding in that ORANGE tee of yours... (^_^) Your baby's grown - you should be really proud of what you've done with it. (I mean SMC of course... not Ning)

Everyone else - I wish I had the time (and energy) to get to know everyone a little better (and watch you guys in action... heh). But from the screams I hear over the din, I know all of you must've been rocking the house.

The session after was fun; I really enjoyed the conversation and company. First time I saw Aloy in lots of action - you looked like you were planning to try every toy you owned (heh heh); it was really great.

Maddened - you got to do something for me with those ESP cards soon! I'm dying to see what you come up with - whatever it is I know it'll be a killer. Just don't get mental.

Oh and Nick - i'd stay out of the pick pocketing business... I don't really think it's something you'd want to do in S'pore. People here are quite touchy about personal belongings; even if they don't voice it. Besides, you're too talented for that stuff. And if you really want to, just do a few really fast furious one hand flourishes to mesmerize the spec while you pick his pockets clean. (That *might* actually work)

*Yawn* well, back to work. Thanks to everyone for their support; it was great because you guys were great.

SHADE

SHADE

Shade... thanks for your kind words but really, I'm no angel. I try my best but there's lots of things I really wish I could do better ^_^ I'm extremely happy though, that you had a great experience during this event - and like it so much too, that you're looking forward to do more!

And you're right. SMC is nothing without you wonderful people... full credit goes to everyone here who've made this place warm, real, positive and outstanding. We've made a difference!

Here's looking forward to the final leg this coming Sunday! I'll be doing my new stage routine (totally different from my compeition act for MU'06) which I fully customised for CCF... so that's happening really early, so those who wanna see us all in action, try to swing by around noon-ish!

Truly,
Ning :)

PS: Those scheduled for 30th Jul, you know who you are! ;)
