Effect
A sheet of paper of any size and three blank cards, of any size, are introduced. Three volunteers are asked to help with this experiment of clairvoyance. When you're done they will believe in magic. Every move is slow and deliberate. Our special gimmicks do all the work.
The first volunteer is asked to silently think of his age or the age of anyone in the room. The mentalist brings forth a red crayon. A red line is drawn across the sheet of paper approximately one third of the way down the sheet. The mentalist writes a prediction, in red, on the first card. This card is immediately set, face down, on the table or foot of the stage and will not be touched until the revelation at the end of the routine. The mentalist asks the volunteer to call out his number so it can be written on the sheet of paper. The number is written, with the red crayon, above the red line.
The second volunteer thinks of any three letter word and the mentalist brings out a second crayon & scribbles on the sheet to show that the crayon is green. The prediction is written on the second card which is set face down next to the first prediction and will not be moved until the final revelation. The green crayon is used to draw the three letter word that the volunteer now calls out. The green crayon is put away and a brown crayon introduced and is used to draw a line completing three sections to the sheet of paper.
The third volunteer thinks of the last two digits of their phone number, a prediction is made with the brown crayon. The prediction is set next to the other two. The volunteer calls out his numbers and they are written, in brown, on the sheet of paper.
Any one of the volunteers is asked to pick up the index cards and compare the predictions to what is written on the tablet. The three smaller cards each bear the exact and correct predictions of the thought of numbers and words & they are in the exact appropriate colors.
"Each time a prediction was made I used a different color to identify that number or word" states the performer. He continues "In the past I've encountered people with similar numbers, which is why it was important to use three different colors. This will prove that there could not be any confusion in my thinking. Each person had their mind read, the thought written on their own separate sheet and the different colors are used to show that each thought was specific and exact."
Points to remember:
The predictions are only written one time, without correcting them later
Only one color is used on each card, matching the color on the large sheet
The cards are never out of view at any time
No stooges
The props are above suspicion, which is a strong aspect of the secret.
The cards are never shown in a phony manner
Only three cards are used. Nothing is added or taken away

Additional information for the experts: The cards are set down immediately after your prediction so the audience knows the prediction was written before the volunteer called out his thoughts. OK - here goes: You open the card case and remove the deck. You freely show that all 52 cards have different numbers on them. You remove the card spectator number 3 named and place it face up on their hand. You now turn the deck over and remove the cards bearing the numbers spectators one and two named. When you flip over the first two you have an exact match card/numbers! The third card is still face up, Remember; spectator three had a free choice of ANY card. It couldn't possibly be, could it? The spectator turns it over - it's the exact number you named!!! All three spectators are left holding the exact card/number match that they picked!

An experiment is conducted to find the relationship between chance and choice.
A deck of cards is fairly shown. After briefly shuffling the deck, half is given to a spectator, who again shuffles them and then begins to deal them into a small pile. The spectator is instructed to stop dealing by chance whenever she likes. The magician shuffles his half and allows the spectator to make a free choice from the face up cards. This chosen card is placed face up onto the spectator's pile.
Now this same procedure is repeated twice more for the sake of scientific consistency. When the piles are examined it is found that the card stopped at by chance in every case is the exact mate of the card selected by choice!
Can be repeated for the same audience!

Cousin Of All Book Tests by Leaping Lizards Magic
Welcome to the first volume in what is planned to be a three volume set of specialty force books/book tests. It combines various elements of things that have gone before in a way that has not been done before.
There are two basic effects possible with this book.
The book itself, a normal looking novel, can be forced from a stack of others, or you can order several and recover them (We will be releasing other versions and titles with the SAME force pages and phrases at a later date) If you wish to use the Chuck Hickock Subtlety this is also a good book to include.
Effect One: A Vision!
The performer invites a spectator to "freely" select a book from several. They leaf through the book and note how many pages it has. Nest, five spectators are asked to jot any number from 1- 400, the number of pages in this book, on a note pad. Those page numbers are handed to the spectator with the book, who is asked to SILENTLY, mentally, open to any of those pages, and silently read the top line or two of the text on that page, starting with the very first word. The performer gets an impression and draws a picture of that. When the first line is read, it is found to match the prediction! This can be repeated if desired, or done with several different spectators.
This effect is similar to Max Maven’s Autome, but uses a different book and offers 6 different force phrases, rather than one. (Note, we offer a different procedure than Autome to make this work, and we suggest you invest in Max maven’s DVD to find out the clean elegant method HE uses- along with the original book used.) The original natural force book used for Autome, as well as similar force books in the past, typically only allowed for one force phrase.
This book allows SIX different sets of force phrases so that YOU decide in advance EXACTLY what phrase the spectator will choose. But remember, they MENTALLY choose a page, and SILENTLY read it- but before they ever open the page, you will KNOW what they are thinking. This can be used as a prediction OR a mind reading effect.
Effect Two: Peek A Thought!
You hold the book up, above eye level of a spectator, and open it to various places, allowing them to PEEK at the first word or words on the bottom line of the page they are looking at. There are about 400 pages in the book, which means the spectator has a 100% FREE choice of over 200 words that they might look at.
You ask them to peek at a few pages and verify each one is different. Then you ask them to peek at a page with the intent of sending a thought to you. The spectator silently reads the word or words that start the last sentence on that page. You invite them to sit down, taking the book with them, and you attempt to divine the word they are thinking of.
This effect is repeatable as often as you care to, with a different outcome each time.
Again, both of these methods have been used before in years gone by, but never have they been combined in a single book. Also, the phrase force used has never been incorporated in such a way as to allow for 6 different outcomes which YOU control. This solves the problem of what to do if there is a good chance some of the same spectators may see your show twice in near succession. It also allows you to have two spectators choose DIFFERENT phrases and reveal them in different ways in a single routine.
The peek revelation, can lead in to the force presentation and/or should the spectator select one of the force pages coincidentally, you can then lead directly in to the phrase revelation effect without having to force a page.

The 400 page, soft-cover book bears a bar code, legitimate ISBN number and looks like it was purchased at any book store. The book will withstand average inspection and is a relatively readable novel.
Yes, there are some typesetting and syntactic oddities about it that one MIGHT discover with great scrutiny, and if one is looking for them- but they are not the sort of thing a spectator would discover with normal handling.

Octopus Deck by Bill Abbott
Effect
You begin by fanning the deck before two spectators and ask each of them to think of any card. After two questions you instantly name the two freely thought of cards.
Wrapping rubber bands around the deck you toss it to an audience member across the room and ask them to peek at any card. The deck is then passed to another person to do the same. Without any questions you name their selected cards.
Finally you ask two people to join you on stage. Removing the rubber bands from the deck you hand half the deck to each spectator and ask them to place the cards inside their pocket. The two spectators reach inside their pockets and remove any card and place it in another pocket, without looking at it. You write something on a piece of paper and hand it to an audience member. Both of the unknown cards are removed and named out loud for the first time.

Effect
You offer to demonstrate a Monte routine in which the three cards are handled face up. A Joker is sandwiched between two black Queens and magically turns face down. The Queen of Spades is sandwiched face up between the face-down Queen of Clubs and Joker and magically turns into the face-up Joker. This procedure is continued for a few times with the middle card always jumping face up or face down or changing into different card. During all of these magical changes the backs of the three cards are shown to be red. As a climax each card changes into a blue back!

You offer to demonstrate a Monte routine in which the three cards are handled face up. A 7 of Diamonds is sandwiched between the 4 of Spades and the 4 of Clubs and magically turns face down. The 4 of Clubs is sandwiched face up between the face-down 4 of Spades and face-down 7 of Diamonds and magically changes into the face-up 7 of Diamonds. The three cards are placed face down and the 4 of Clubs jumps face up. The 7 of Diamonds is dealt face down on the table and jumps back face down between the face-up black Fours. Cousin Of All Book Tests by Leaping Lizards Magic
Welcome to the first volume in what is planned to be a three volume set of specialty force books/book tests. It combines various elements of things that have gone before in a way that has not been done before.
There are two basic effects possible with this book.
The book itself, a normal looking novel, can be forced from a stack of others, or you can order several and recover them (We will be releasing other versions and titles with the SAME force pages and phrases at a later date) If you wish to use the Chuck Hickock Subtlety this is also a good book to include.
Effect One: A Vision!
The performer invites a spectator to "freely" select a book from several. They leaf through the book and note how many pages it has. Nest, five spectators are asked to jot any number from 1- 400, the number of pages in this book, on a note pad. Those page numbers are handed to the spectator with the book, who is asked to SILENTLY, mentally, open to any of those pages, and silently read the top line or two of the text on that page, starting with the very first word. The performer gets an impression and draws a picture of that. When the first line is read, it is found to match the prediction! This can be repeated if desired, or done with several different spectators.
This effect is similar to Max Maven’s Autome, but uses a different book and offers 6 different force phrases, rather than one. (Note, we offer a different procedure than Autome to make this work, and we suggest you invest in Max maven’s DVD to find out the clean elegant method HE uses- along with the original book used.) The original natural force book used for Autome, as well as similar force books in the past, typically only allowed for one force phrase.
This book allows SIX different sets of force phrases so that YOU decide in advance EXACTLY what phrase the spectator will choose. But remember, they MENTALLY choose a page, and SILENTLY read it- but before they ever open the page, you will KNOW what they are thinking. This can be used as a prediction OR a mind reading effect.
Effect Two: Peek A Thought!
You hold the book up, above eye level of a spectator, and open it to various places, allowing them to PEEK at the first word or words on the bottom line of the page they are looking at. There are about 400 pages in the book, which means the spectator has a 100% FREE choice of over 200 words that they might look at.
You ask them to peek at a few pages and verify each one is different. Then you ask them to peek at a page with the intent of sending a thought to you. The spectator silently reads the word or words that start the last sentence on that page. You invite them to sit down, taking the book with them, and you attempt to divine the word they are thinking of.
This effect is repeatable as often as you care to, with a different outcome each time.
Again, both of these methods have been used before in years gone by, but never have they been combined in a single book. Also, the phrase force used has never been incorporated in such a way as to allow for 6 different outcomes which YOU control. This solves the problem of what to do if there is a good chance some of the same spectators may see your show twice in near succession. It also allows you to have two spectators choose DIFFERENT phrases and reveal them in different ways in a single routine.
The peek revelation, can lead in to the force presentation and/or should the spectator select one of the force pages coincidentally, you can then lead directly in to the phrase revelation effect without having to force a page.
You want options? You GOT options!
The 400 page, soft-cover book bears a bar code, legitimate ISBN number and looks like it was purchased at any book store. The book will withstand average inspection and is a relatively readable novel.
Yes, there are some typesetting and syntactic oddities about it that one MIGHT discover with great scrutiny, and if one is looking for them- but they are not the sort of thing a spectator would discover with normal handling.

Octopus Deck by Bill Abbott
Effect
You begin by fanning the deck before two spectators and ask each of them to think of any card. After two questions you instantly name the two freely thought of cards.
Wrapping rubber bands around the deck you toss it to an audience member across the room and ask them to peek at any card. The deck is then passed to another person to do the same. Without any questions you name their selected cards.
Finally you ask two people to join you on stage. Removing the rubber bands from the deck you hand half the deck to each spectator and ask them to place the cards inside their pocket. The two spectators reach inside their pockets and remove any card and place it in another pocket, without looking at it. You write something on a piece of paper and hand it to an audience member. Both of the unknown cards are removed and named out loud for the first time.

Effect
You offer to demonstrate a Monte routine in which the three cards are handled face up. A Joker is sandwiched between two black Queens and magically turns face down. The Queen of Spades is sandwiched face up between the face-down Queen of Clubs and Joker and magically turns into the face-up Joker. This procedure is continued for a few times with the middle card always jumping face up or face down or changing into different card. During all of these magical changes the backs of the three cards are shown to be red. As a climax each card changes into a blue back!

You offer to demonstrate a Monte routine in which the three cards are handled face up. A 7 of Diamonds is sandwiched between the 4 of Spades and the 4 of Clubs and magically turns face down. The 4 of Clubs is sandwiched face up between the face-down 4 of Spades and face-down 7 of Diamonds and magically changes into the face-up 7 of Diamonds. The three cards are placed face down and the 4 of Clubs jumps face up. The 7 of Diamonds is dealt face down on the table and jumps back face down between the face-up black Fours. The face-down tabled card is shown to be another 4 of Clubs and the sandwiched face-down card is shown to be another 4 of Spades. The four Fours are shown front and back and the 7 of Diamonds is reproduced from a wallet, a card case, a sealed envelope or whatever you prefer!

Autobend Silverware by Devin Knight and Al Mann
Al Mann & Devin Knight were some of the early originators of self bending spoon techniques. This is the REAL work on self-bending spoons developed jointly by Al Mann and Devin Knight during the mid 80s.
You get the exact method used by Devin in newspaper office thru out the years to garner front page publicity. Show two spoons, one in each hand. The spectator is given a choice of either the stem or bowl of one of the spoons. Which ever he chooses (no force) that part of the spoon bends forward in a slow spooky manner.
Now the spoon in the other hand starts to visibly bend and is dropped into the spectator's hand WHILE STILL BENDING for complete examination without any switch.
The second spoon then becomes rubbery and flops around like loose rubber. Suddenly the rubbery spoons breaks in half and falls into the person's hand for examination.
Only two spoons used and there is NO SWITCH of any kind in the above routine. Both spoons can be immediately examined.
This manuscript is full of early Mann/Knight metal bending history and contains techniques only previously revealed in a now out of print joint Mann/Knight publication. Autobend Silverware by Devin Knight and Al Mann
Al Mann & Devin Knight were some of the early originators of self bending spoon techniques. This is the REAL work on self-bending spoons developed jointly by Al Mann and Devin Knight during the mid 80s.
You get the exact method used by Devin in newspaper office thru out the years to garner front page publicity. Show two spoons, one in each hand. The spectator is given a choice of either the stem or bowl of one of the spoons. Which ever he chooses (no force) that part of the spoon bends forward in a slow spooky manner.
Now the spoon in the other hand starts to visibly bend and is dropped into the spectator's hand WHILE STILL BENDING for complete examination without any switch.
The second spoon then becomes rubbery and flops around like loose rubber. Suddenly the rubbery spoons breaks in half and falls into the person's hand for examination.
Only two spoons used and there is NO SWITCH of any kind in the above routine. Both spoons can be immediately examined.
This manuscript is full of early Mann/Knight metal bending history and contains techniques only previously revealed in a now out of print joint Mann/Knight publication. This routine and handling has been highly acclaimed by those who have read it. It continues to be one of Knight's best selling releases.

A card is selected, returned to the deck and shuffled. The entertainer explains how this card will be located by using the technologies of forensic science. "You selected one card, therefore your DNA/fingerprints can be found on ONE card in this deck." Cards are spread face down and the entertainer proceeds to take out a miniature UV light. "I'm sure you've seen a number of the latest crime scene and investigation forensic shows. They use luminal to detect blood, and a device like this one to see fingerprints and fibers." The light is turned on and waved over the deck, suddenly glowing images and smudge marks can be seen on one card only. The card is turned over and it turns out to the spectator's selected card! The rest of the deck can be examined.

* Record Aces: A masterful routine where the four Aces are lost and shuffled into the deck as you immediately cut to them in record time. As a kicker ending the deck is now shown in new deck order with the rest of the cards in numerical and suit order.

Trapped by Rodger Lovins
Effect
The magician has a card selected and signed. He then places the signed card into the center of the deck. He picks up two blank playing cards of a different color to the color of the deck, and places one blank on top and the other on the bottom of the deck.
He gives the deck a quick jerk allowing all of the playing cards in the deck to jump out from between the two blanks and into his other hand. When the spectator looks through the deck he cannot find his signed selection. It has become TRAPPED between the two blank cards!
The magician then gives the spectator his signed card.
