I don't really like it after I got my deck of cards. I really have quite a number of card decks and it can be heavy and bulky to carry more then 2 packs at anytime unless you bring a bag with you. Do you already have ambitious and escalator? if you do not, then get them instead.

Hi,
I think I'll add to this as I have it and have spent time working with it. I've been a fan of the Koran deck (which this is based on) for many years and developed a few variations based on the principle. The effect (Koran deck)is extremely strong if presented well.
The MPD is a great version and is well-designed in friendly Bicycle deck stick. The high price is mainly due to the high cost of production + the effect it took to design the system he uses. There is memory work involved which will take some effort.
Firstly, there are too many variables to consider before shelfing this effect, or any other effect.
Some things you should consider:
1) Is this amount fo money a lot for you?
2) Who do you perform for?
3) Is there a similar effect (abeit less clean) that is more affordable but good enough for your needs?
4) Most importantly, do you see yourself enjoying performing this (whether to yourself or to an audience.)
With regards to the MPD, in my opinion, it is WORTH IT; from the following perspective.
It is a fairly clean free mental selection of a card which the spectaotr chooses as a shuffled deck is spread in front of him/ her. With limited pumping, you are able to determine the value the card.
I see this as a great back-up gimmicked deck to have. Imagine the following scenario during an impromptu performance for friends:
You perform a couple of card routines, including your favourite Ambitious routine. These are general visual pieces utilizing sleight of hand or self-working principles that do not require gimmicks. You then take a break from cards to do a coin effect.
To close your set, you explain that you will do one last effect with cards, but clearly state it is not a standard 'pick a card trick'. You pull out your MPD (which matches your regular deck exactly.) You perform it and read a spectator's mind. Result - utter amazement, strengthened by the dexterity effects performed earlier.
The greatest challange you will have is to be able to present this convincingly and with the naturalness that you handle a regular deck.
Hope this helps.

IMHO mind power deck is very good and it worths the money.
effect like a thought of card vanished from the deck without palming can be achieved using mind power deck. The effect looked SOOOOO clean and direct.

The Mind Power Deck is always with me wherever I go. It's just way too strong of an effect and you can easily perform this for a group having 3 or more people participating in the mental selection of cards. Very fair and clean. A simple deck switch is all which is needed to get rid of the dirty cards.

All the current Mind Power Decks are printed on Bicycle stock in red Rider backs. The other new improvement to the deck is the Joker gaurantee card. The card is a cue card which means you no longer need to memorize patter and the order of the questions in which you fish to find the correct card. EXCELLENT.
