Title: Happy Birthday, Singapore
Kevin - August 8, 2006 04:11 PM (GMT)
If it weren't for living in the country for the past 11 years, I wouldv'e probabaly become a crack addict. Not that I'm not one now, but that's besides the point.
If it weren't for going to the local school system for eight years over here, I most likely would not know how much easier we have it back in the American systems.
And if it weren't for a certain National Day Parade involvement and a very good friend of mine's generosity... well, I'd probably still be a crack addict, but without the "and by the way, also a magician" to my credentials.
Happy Birthday, Singapore.

haha living in this place for the past 16 years of my life,
i realised nothing much, just that there really could be chicks at sentosa if you looked hard enough, food's great and we all suffer from the glorious education and protection of the country courses. but anyway .
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE

It's interesting to note that although many people say Singapore has "no culture" and no "uniqueness", i think that is where Singapore is good - it is unique because it has no distinct culure.
Get so many races, nationalities, religions and people together on a small island a few hundred years ago and make them survive and make the island flourish into what Singapore is now...
Wow. Honestly. Wow.
Sure Singapore has its banes, but one thing I know is that this is where I was born.
Happy birthday, Singapore.

Happy 41st Birthday, Temasek Island!
Despite many things that would have encouraged me to get out of Singapore, I am still glad I am a Singaporean! Why?
Because we house easily, THE BEST flourishers in the entire universe.
Heh!
Other reasons include great food, lack of crimes, lack of natural disasters and a really Big-Brother like government. Amongst other things, I must say I am grateful for the rugged system of education here, it gives me some pride, in a weird way. Lol.
Have it good, Singapore, for the last time at the National Stadium! (waste they have to demolish it though)
Regards,
Ling :g:
