Umm, hi all I’ve been browsing this forum for quite a while now and finally decided to make an account :D. Anyway my name is Shek and I am 16 this year, a Singaporean studying in Hong Kong but come back regularly.
Got hooked onto magic when one my friends dad did a simple trick to me while I was like 10 or something and decided I would like to perform it too.

I started off with cards and did all kind of simple tricks and even made a sleight of hand (which I still use, lol). In secondary school things started to change as I met a friend who was also interested in performing magic. Together we pooled cash together and ordered DVDs and Books online, this was where we started performing harder and more complicated illusions; this was also where I decided to switch from Card Tricks to Coin as I was fascinated with how impromptu and convenient it was but later realized there were certain limitations to it.

During learning these, I also widen my knowledge on impromptu tricks. I am not to keen on gadgets any only own 3 (Scotch and Soda, Raven, Invisible-threads).

My mate and I have been helping out at a Children’s Shelter where we entertain them with magic and games. During our free time we sometime perform impromptu/Street magic at Star Ferry (A pier in HK). We also were recently invited to perform at a department dinner in Hong Kong Bank for my friend’s mom which certainly widen our and broaden our knowledge of stage magic as it was really different compared to our usual style.
