Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone of you have heard about this new force?

Ta Ma De force? As in...
"Ta ma de!! ask you to pick this card then you pick this card lah!..."

Sorry, couldn't resist.

No, can't say I have heard of it. Tell us more Gordon? Who came up with it?

Shade - August 16, 2006 04:07 PM (GMT)
Is this the one where the spec seems to have a totally free choice of ANY card, but always ends up with the Force? Supposed to be totally clean and straight forward. TMD's supposed to be like Tamariz Meets Daryl or something. Not sure though; it's supposed to be some underground stuff - mostly a rumour. Have you got a clearer description of this force? Sounds interesting.

Maddened - August 16, 2006 04:37 PM (GMT)
Nice one Aloy... ;)

Heard it being talked about by some others, but apparently difficult to master. Those who do it swear by it though. From what's described, it's like the holy grail of forces. Cards are spread, spectator takes one, supposedly allowed to change his mind, but it'll always be the force card. That's what I know about it.

But like Shade said, seems kind of underground and stuff. :ph43r:

Ning - August 16, 2006 04:53 PM (GMT)
TMD = Too Many Drinks force.

That's when the wasted audience believes he has a complete free choice in cards and is incapable of even thinking he's got the forced card ;)

Of course it's not easy to master. You need to be able to misdirect or provide suggestions to get them to bottoms up prior to its execution -_-

Okay... don't hit me... we all have a knooky sense of humor sometimes right? :ph43r:

ning: Back from week long haitus from SMC!

Never heard of this force, maybe Huron knows.

Cause his forcing is damn power..

Hi Peeps,

Thanks to all for some of the comments! I really like the Ta Ma De & the Too Many Drinks thoughts for TMD Force! :P very nice, but I think Shade actually got it rite!

It is a total underground force - NOT published on any books or DVDs. In fact, I think (No proof!) that it is so old a move, that many people doesn't know of its existance, and my guess is that very few use this force nowadays!

EFFECT of this Force:

Spectator is asked to choose ANY card, and is even asked if he would like a change of card! And at the end of the day it is still a forced card! 101% No Gimmicks, No Forcing Deck, and it can be 101% used on a borrowed deck!

Enlighten me! PLEASE~!

That sounds really really nice.

If I could do it, I think it would seriously, seriously, seriously own.

TMD... Tamariz Meets Daryl...

Is it just a rumour, how did u encounter the discription of the force?
Is it just a VERY WELL DONE classic force?

Yeah, as curious as i am about it, you cannot say it on the forums. Try PM or meet us during one of the gatherings.

Check out the Jay Sankey Force , touch ANY card and show the forced card.

Kazekage showed me this force on the train after the SMC "beginners" meeting. Looks good and it looks like a "second try" if you failed the attempt doing the Classic Force.

This is a sure prove way to force a card. Wayne Houchin did this force on TV when performing Stigmata.

Ps: Stigmata demo was from WH's website. Not on channel 5 or 8. lol

Not sure which kind Dry_gin is refering too excaltly. But if it was just touching the card, there are quite a few ways to force, on the other hand if it was the audience picking the card haven't heard of many.

Wow! :!!: I have to say this is a Ta Ma De Gd Force haha... Sorry no offence, after reading what Aloy wrote, it cracked me up. If this force is indeed true, it sounds like its the mother of all Forces.

Just as Shek mentioned, if its touching a card and the spec decides to change his mind and touch another, there are a few ways to easily force the card. But if the spec can pick and pull out one card and then decide to change and proceed to pull out another card and its still forced, I've never seen it before. It sounds so very impossible, but then again a magician's job here is to bend reality and make the impossible possible. Hope this force is true and not just an Urban Legend in our magic world ^_^

vin87 - August 18, 2006 06:29 AM (GMT)
why would you wanna force the same card again after they change their mind. I mean wont they find it weird? dont think there is a need but it sounds kinda cool =p

shek - August 18, 2006 07:09 AM (GMT)
bleh using my method i can only force them (fan cards, they pick). But usually thats it, i don't ask them to repick another card.

muscleaxl - August 19, 2006 04:46 AM (GMT)
Just to share an experience here about forcing...

I was practising my Classic F on a colleague with the intention of doing a stigmata. He did pick the F-card, but somehow he decided to change his mind and asked to pick another card. I asked him why and the reason was he didn't like the K of Hearts (the F-card). Anyway, I let him picked another card (no force) and proceeded to do a Biddle Trick.

On the same day, I tried the Classic again, this time on my new secretary (a young, sweet gal.. hehe). The moment she touched the card, I asked her whether she want to change, she paused for a while and said no. I kept asking her 2 more times to change but she insisted on her choice. Of course, you all can guess what happened when her card (rather the no) appeared on my forearms...

So I think reverse psychology can be employed to eliminate the risk of the spectators changing their minds. In that case, we don't have to try to F another card (which I can't do).

After all is said, I think this TMD force is quite a interesting idea.

shek - August 19, 2006 09:50 AM (GMT)
 Thanks for the tip muscleaxl might try using reverse psychology along with the force :D

Never really heard or seen it, maybe it's just a different name. Either case, came across my mind of this classic force so-call underground stuff it's a combining of 4 most powerful force effects.

I don't know if it's proper to describe it right here, but either way, this is a classic force and indeed very very useful. There are 2 ways..

The 1st you need a gimmick deck (Aiya 2 same card you want to force only).

The 2nd way, it's just, you know, force the card until they pick it, if they insist on changing juz fan open the deck and let them change, then place the card on the top and fan close the deck, then do a U**** P*** and riffle the deck. It just look normal..

Blackwing - August 20, 2006 03:24 AM (GMT)
I've seen a tmd force live. The deck of cards was spread on the table, the spectator picks a card, changes his mind a few times, and it still works in the end.

The magician repeated it 5 times in a row, so it was the real deal.

ming - August 20, 2006 04:08 AM (GMT)
Blackwing, can the deck be inspected?
As in, it wasn't all the same card or some gimmick deck right?

theWeaver - August 20, 2006 05:48 AM (GMT)
Ming, the question should be, who performed it, and can he perform it for me~~~ Keke.
