You can check out Art of Costume Changing (Yasuda) Greater Magic - #59
There is also a book titled Quick Change (Rapid Costume Changes for Men).

there's tonnes of positive reviews for the Quick Change book. It's a worthwhile investment if you want to include costume change in your act.

Yup, Yasuda's Art of Costume Changing DVD is for the magician to change his/her assistants costumes... I spoke to Palmline about the Quick Change book before. It's good stuff, and for men ;) See murphysmagic.com for details.
Lefty, all the best with your act!

Do you know how to make "break-away" pants (trousers) using Velcro? You just take a regular pair of pants and replace the outer seams with Velcro so you can rip the pants off in one quick motion. You can find a tailor to make you a nice pair if you show him what you want. Then you wear your black break-away pants over (for example) red or white pants and you are set for a quick change.
The same can be done with a men's jacket by sewing the front closed and having the opening in the back held together with a seam of Velcro.
