Anyone has Prodikey? If you have it, mind sharing your thoughts on it? I'm thinking of getting it. Thanks.

Dont get it. Many reviews say that its a failed project. First u of all why do u need it?
According to frens who got it, they say its not that good. People who are pro do not use it, those who are newbie in music doesnt learn much from it also.
If u want to do music mixing, its better to get a bigger keyboard and link to the computer. Then use a software like Cakewalk or some other sound recording/remixers to do it.
I think theres like only about 2 octaves or so. Hardly possible to play a nice song. And the keys will be a bit "tin teh" (obstructive due to the size). Then again, there will still be people who get it. If it really attracts you then get it, cos no one can stop u also :P

Second i want to give some note to everyone. Creative might have alot of products which is cheap, due to the fact its designed in singapore. But alot of its products, current esp, doesnt serve its justice.
I got frenz that was a fan of creative, but the things keep breaking down. Thats side story.
For music mixing, get other brands other than creative, creative not just good in that. Haha!!

Music mixing?
I have a mixing software from Sony, Acid Music Studio but I haven't really gone through the tutorials or try mixing/editing/creating any songs before but it seems complete.
It can even edit MIDIs so maybe you would like to check it out.

Geez... I'm not sure about other products but do check out their latest sound blaster "Xtreme Fidelity".
You'll definately be amazed with the sound produced from it. The sound can be compared to the one you hear in Cinema. It is also able to boost the sound quality of a compressed mp3.
Hardcore games will also like this card. You're able to know where you enemy is by hearing the sound.
Anyway, you can visit Creative store at PS or Marina Sq to try out their product.
I think you'll be able to have a test of the Sound Blaster card at the Marina Sq branch. Not sure about PS though.

I lost hope in Creative already. Their products broke down twice on me. Once my current one dies. I'm getting an Ipod or a sony.

Hm, on another note, sound cards from creative is good. Xtreme Fidelity or something is a very good sound card. However, products like mp3 players, webcams, have better brands which beat creative hands down...

i really do not agree on buying the prodikey. i have it once and it really don work very well. if you want a serious music mixing or somethings like this. you can try the creative e-mu which is like so expensive. if not just go and buy some good softwares. like fruityloops?. all this works pretty well ^^

I have the Zen Micro and so far, I'm very satisfied with it. I've compared it to Ipod and Creative's actually sound better.

Ipod is a bit over-rated... i'm quite happy with my Sony W810i with 2 GB Memstick. Like an ipod due to the size lol

Wow. 2GB momory card. That confirm cost alot. I also have 1 2 gb card for my psp. Bought it last time @ 200+ haha..^^

Hmmm... sorry, just to sidetrack a bit, what do you guys think of Creative's DIVICAMs? I'm considering their latest one and the model prior to that... anyone owns it or is familiar with these gadgets? ;) It's quite affordable, but I need something rugged that won't die on me easily as I might use the vid recording/ photo taking features quite a bit!
Your thoughts? There seem to be a lot of gadget savvy guys here  Thanks!!

Go for Nikon, or Canon. I perfer this 2 brands more. Cause they are famous for digital stuffs.
Creative stuffs, i not really friendly with it. Except for their sound cards.
voodoolong - August 20, 2006 09:53 AM (GMT)
Nikon and Canon will BOMB you. Just like CANNON... haha.... They are too ex and just not practical as they are more suitable for professional. the creative one is not bad. but sometimes creative products causes alot of problem.
Ning - August 20, 2006 10:50 AM (GMT)
Creative products cause problems? Really? Which range? Their audio/ visual products, etc? I really wasn't aware of it. My bestfriend has their MP3 player & is very happy with it, so I was considering getting their new DIVICAM. Hmmmm...
For now, I just want something I can throw into my tote bag which I can use as a visual diary when I go places ;) No need to be top notch but good enough that it does capture vids/ photos quite decently & would be able to last me a few years, that would be good enough. Is anybody here familiar with the Creative range of DIVICAMs?
Canon & Nikon is honestly way out of my budget for now. So unless someone wants to give me an endorsement deal or sponsor me one, I'll have to look for more affordable alternatives  I've got more expensive things that i NEED to pay for, like university fees, etc.
Thanks for the help guys!

last time creative produces router. I have one. After only like using for 1 month or so. it keeps getting disconnected. It gets so easily overheated. So i went donw to creative to tell them the problem. They fixed it for me but the problem came another month or so later again.
I also has a creative keyboard and mouse. It is a wireless set. But the signal cannot be received the receiver. Evan after buying fresh new batteries. So ended up i need to put the receiver just next to the keyboard. haha...
But my creative speakers and mp3 players work fine. I am not really sure for the Divicam haha.
Hope it helps. And just FYI if your product do get spoil. You will need to get down to the headquarter at jurong east there. Which is very troublesome for those who live very far away and for those who don drive.
