Me! well, im not that kind of devoted to him type of fan, but i like his stuff! They are very strong and made use of alot psychological theories, which therefore make the effects look and even feels like real magic....i mean, as what he said, his effect are considered as REAL magic!!!

I've heard Kenton name for quite some time.
also check the website but there's too much staff there.
Anyone can gives a recommendation of which books or dvds to start with?
and perhaps a introduction of the focus point in his work?
Thanks in advance. :)

The only thing I have from him is his Secrets of Indirection booklet, and I find it really good and I'm agreeable with him.
He discusses the mistakes, misrepresentations and misinterpretations of misdirection and suggestion, and gives a lot of practical advice that I'm sure can be used or adapted.
For example, how to suggest that your deck are cards or normal, or that the card box is empty without saying so directly.

well, it really depends what kind of stuff you're into. If you like doing mentalism, kenton knepper's got some pretty strong stuff, like his "heirloom" effect, which is a mind-reading act packed in your wallet. literally.
if you like close up stuff, his klose-up and unpublished can be decent material as well, where he performs stuff like his versions of torn n restored card. and there's his color-changing deck effect, called khameleon deck or something like that, where there's minimal sleight of hand, but i find the handling a bit awkward. But that's just a personal opinion...
but if you like cold reading and stuff like that, there's this audio book called wonder readings where he collaborates with this guy, rex stevens sikes, teaching rex's take on cold reading, with cards or otherwise. and since psychics generally get more credence than magicians when it comes to "the real stuff", you might wanna check that out if that's your area of interest.
dunno about his other stuff, cos i have never checked them out before. but the
secrets of indirection as described by gordon sounds good... i might try getting that next! :)
