It's so sad.... :(
Especially since I am in Brisbane... not too far from the zoo he works in.
<Aaron> - September 4, 2006 03:22 PM (GMT)

At first I thought it was just another rumor like the last time (eaten by a croc)
Well, guess he left us doing what he loves most.
R.I.P Steve... :(
theWeaver - September 4, 2006 05:37 PM (GMT)
One would have thought he will die fighting crocodiles or snakes.. But to a stingray.. Sad..
r.i.p.

yong_tianadeline - September 5, 2006 06:10 AM (GMT)
That's the only icon on MSN that's a creature of nature...
Its to remember how much he has done for the conservation of nature's animals.

I see. How did this turtle thing get started?
Ning - September 5, 2006 06:17 AM (GMT)
Crikey... I loved that guy :(
<Aaron> - September 5, 2006 07:40 AM (GMT)

(tu) is the turtle icon.
There is another animal... (sn) the snail.
Kazekage - September 5, 2006 11:55 AM (GMT)
And now they say since its been a day, replace the turtle/tortoise with a rose (f).
I dont get it but I'll just do it anyways.
zomaziz - September 5, 2006 01:11 PM (GMT)
Crikey, he's dead. The world's lost a jolly optimistic fellow. :(
By the way, I followed the turtle thing! Now I'm off to spread the rose thing...
cioxxx - September 5, 2006 01:23 PM (GMT)
A really, really tragic loss. We can never overlook what he has done for the conservation of animals and nature itself.
dtjk - September 5, 2006 02:34 PM (GMT)
Now I'm confused whether I should put a turtle or a rose.. Nvm.. I'll put both anyway.
Crocs rule! Steve would have probably said this if he could, before his last breathe..

Turtle became a rose?
I'll start my own trend. Day three: Snail. (sn)
Any followers?
lukold - September 5, 2006 05:51 PM (GMT)
Actually i made the rose into a (a). So if it comes to you, you know i started it! but, rest in peace Steve.

Whatever it is, his spirit will live on in the fond memory of people all over the world. I feel sorry for his wife though... she's got to raise their 2 children all alone. The kids are so young! :( It's really tragic.
Trix - September 6, 2006 01:29 AM (GMT)
Yea, but i guess he has bought tons of insurance, for such a dangerous job.

that may be true, but how much money is not going to give back their father. I really pity the children, especially now that they're so young.

Feel like making a remembrance userbar for him. Let me go reintall my photoshop first. It's buggy now.
zomaziz - September 6, 2006 11:41 PM (GMT)
Heard that there won't be a state funeral for him, as he wants to be remembered as an "Odinary bloke". :)
Oh well. That's life. (and death)
phsycofreak - September 7, 2006 09:53 AM (GMT)
