Title: False Dealing?

lumpy - September 5, 2006 02:10 PM (GMT)
Hey, I was jus wondering if any or u guys incorporate false dealing of any kind into your performances and what they are. I'm currently pretty interested in them, especially second dealing. I have yet to meet or acknowledge any like minded people (people interested in false dealing), so i'm hoping that i can achieve this here.

I know of someone from SMC who does wicked seconds and bottoms. Too bad he has move on more towards stage and mentalism.

He might respond to this thread but he seldom posts nowadays.

You might also want to check out some of Martin Nash's materials. Simon Lovell has also published a nice book on false deals. Fernando Keops has a Dvd set on card cheat moves. Richard Turner is also worth mentioning. There's probably tons more but this is what I can think of offhand.

Am I thinking what you're thinking? A very skillful and really young boy? Haha..

nay, donovan, he's talking about me. haha ^_^

i only incorporate false dealings in card games(not very good though). Except if it's a awareness-of-gambling-sleights-and-how-conmen-trick-you kind of day, i rarely use it. There's one trick where you show the audience the bottom deal and you deal 4 aces to yourself, gather the cards and deal again, only this time, you have the royal flush. Yeah, can be found on Ammar's Easy to master series, forgot the name. :D That's not much of cheating though, since everybody knows what you're gonna do. ^_^

You'e not kidding me, Aaron?

I think what exohordon or lumpy meant are genuine 2nd and bottom dealings, and not those self-working tricks that do not require any sleights.. (eg. tricks from Ammar's E.T.M.C.M :) )

Well actually, i'm have enough resources regarding the false deals, i'm just interested to see them being done by someone else, someone good, someone i can learn from. I've done a "speller" effect from the top of the deck several times using the strike method, my favourite method. But it would be a treat to see someone who can deal strike seconds with a stationary thumb and do more complicated tricks, like dealing himself aces from a shuffled deck smoothly... that kinda thing

haha nay, i using that as an example of the bottom deal. :)

And the tricks in ETMCM need sleights, not all self working. ^_^

If I remember right, Mr Wei Ping loves gambling sleights. However, he seldom uses the forum, so... I'm not sure how you can find him.

False deals are hard! :ph43r:

likewise! i would prefer to learn from a 'live' as well. it's impressive enough to see someone who can pull it off well. i too have videos on Simon Lovell and Darwin Ortiz but learning off video is just so different. I am still trying hard though :P
