Title: In The Hands False Riffle Shuffle?

lumpy - September 7, 2006 02:59 PM (GMT)
Can anyone direct me to a good in the hands false riffle shuffle, because the only ones i know can only be done on the table i.e push-through and Zarrow. Thanks.

there is the heinstein shuffle by karl hein, lennert green's green shuffle which u can find in his dvd series and there's one u can learn from one of guy hollingworth's videos as well.

green's shuffle is the best of the lot but also the hardest to master in my opinion

Thanks! btw, do you noe specifically which of Lennart Green's DVDs is the one that teaches it?

Went to search for you... Heheh.

It's in volume 1, with his FISM act and a whole lot of other sleights including the Green Shuffle.

I do not know the Green Shuffle, but I personally do the Heinstein shuffle and it works great for me. From what I know, the two seem rather similar in handling.

If anyone knows both, which would you recommend? (Or is there really not much of a difference?)

heinstein shuffle works like a in the hands zarrow.. u require a slip cut to get into it or you have to do it 2 times. green is more versatile in the sense that you there is no getting into it and once is enough.

the heinstein looks more like a regular riffle shuffle (as compared to green's) and is easier to pull off convincingly in my opinion.

green's shuffle on the other hand looks more like a quick and casual riffle shuffle of the cards. it is a very bold move but looks very convincing in his hands from all angles. however i've had great difficulty in doing it convincingly

a riffle shuffle that most resembles a real one is guy hollingworth's (i cant remember the name and do not believe its his move). because you really do riffle shuffle the cards. however, its based on a different concept. you need to do a cut after your riffle shuffle.

without technical limitations, i would prefer the green shuffle. otherwise, it would be guy hollingworth's.

Eric Anderson's(Hollingworth') false shuffle is pretty convincing cos its a real shuffle, till the last part, which I believe is when the audiences are already convinced its shuffled.

I do the Hollingworth's version....It's a lil' bit hard to do it flawlessly..but if you see Guy Hollingworth doing it...it really looks like a normal shuffle

I believe Richard Osterlind has a riffle shuffle which uses his lap as well

Where can the shuffle by Guy Hollingworth be found if one wanted to learn it?

alexlim - September 11, 2006 12:59 PM (GMT)
you can find it in his 'routines' video

Wonder if anyone of you know "up the ladder".
I found that it is actually possible (with great practise), to do "up the ladder" in the hands rather than the usual on the table style.

And i think it's damn convincing and looks like a comon shuffle normal lay people will do. (rather than riffles and stuff which normal people don't do when asked to do in-hand shuffles.)

Lennart Green has created an in-the-hands up-the-ladder shuffle... he calls it the circulation shuffle i think

Darn, and i thought i finally thought of something cool myself.. :P
