I'm sure most of us had experienced this before.

When sometimes you just get lucky and your magic became a miracle.

Last friday i was performing magic to one of my friend.
I was performing a card at any number trick.

I spreaded the deck then she picked a card. It was the 7clubs.

Then i controlled the card to the top of the deck and have her select another card again. This c.a.a.n trick requires 2 selected cards.

"This magic is all about esp... You will know exactly where your card is by using your 6th sense"

She said " I dun believe!"

Her hand moved to the middle of the spreaded deck. She looked at me and paused. Then she picked the TOP card. :blink:

" erm dun let me see the card.... was it the 7 of clubs?"

I then spreaded the deck showing that all cards are different.

Her expression is priceless.

I think most of you here have this kind of experience. Maybe you all can share it and see who are the luckiest magician!! :lol:

Another one.

This happened to me during one of my lecture breaks.

I was playing with my deck of cards when i suddenly had this idea. I basically set up my deck so that whenever a person name a card, there is a 13% chance i would get the card right. Nothing new, jus a trick using the case by case idea.

I asked the girl sitting beside me " Name any card you want"

" Ace! ... Er that big black beautiful one! "

I took out the deck and turned over the top card. It was the Ace of Spades.

" A?! How u know i will pick Ace?"

"Haha i knew u will! Ok jus name another card then." At this point in time i already thought that i'm quite lucky, and i just need her to name any other card so i could do my ambitious card routine.

"King! The one with the heart!"

In my mind i was like going :ph43r: :blink: :ph43r:

I acted calm and said: "well i'm not going to touch the deck this time... check out the top card..."

She turned over the top card and it was the King of Hearts.

"EEEKKK!!!" she screamed

I didn't even bother to go on to the ambitious card routine. That trick was good enough for me to end the show. Up til now she still asking me how i did that trick haha

Ya this kind of thing happen to me before.

Normally, I will just reply its pure luck. And Magic often happens when luck is around you.

As for the chosen card and the pick card on top, Normally it happens when i did it on 2 different audience and then they stun when they picked the same card, and i just told them it does happen in magic, miracle do happens. :)

Luck changes magic into "real" magic, something that you couldnt explain even if you wanted to, to the audience.

You will feel damn good, and the audience will be damn awed! :lol:
Since it doent happen often, if it does, savour the moment.

i was doing some kostya kimlat routine that invovled finding the mates of one physicallyselected and one thought of card. there was a sequence to the whole thing but i had drunk quite a bit before so i kind of messed up the routine halfway through and didn't realise it and i removed the physicallyselected card and placed it facedown on the table.. this was supposed to be the mate of the thought of card (those of you who have his transatlantic lecture would understand i guess). i then handed the deck to the spec and told her to remove her thought of card from the spread. she looked through the entire deck and went "it's not in there" which surprised me because it was a full deck and the card should be in there. so from then i kind of guessed what was happening, and asked both people to name out the physicallyselected and thought of card at the same time i turned over the card on the table, and it turns out the second girl thought of the samecard that the first picked, which basically freaked the shit out of them because not only had i found the first person's (freely) selected card, but the second person thought of the exact same card. i did on call from regal's constant fooling 1 after that to the same girl (and no i didn't guess her number and hit it spot on, youall better be erecting a shrine for me right now if i did), and she basically followed me around for the rest of the night telling people how i was part of some cult. and all i can remember after that was a whole lot of screaming, a lot more drinking and a lot more bad magic.

once i asked a guy to think of a card and i hit it spot on but after that he tried to lick me. i havent done that effect ever since.

Remember to claim credit for it though. Don't end up admitting that the miracle was accidental! zz.

Anyway, here's a "miracle" that happened to some anonymous performer... I heard it from another guy. Doubt it's credibility, but it's a good read, still. :P

He was performing the classic card to ceiling effect to a few friends after a stage show. So he decided to use the stage.

So as he tossed the deck up into the dark stage ceiling... Everyone was stunned. You know how the usual effect is for the deck to go up, leave the selection on the ceiling, and come down?

Well... the deck went up, out of sight due to bad lighting. Long pause. The deck didn't come down. :ph43r: The magician panicked! But suddenly, a SINGLE card came twirling down, and landed on the floor nearby. It was revealed to be the signed selection.

Nobody(not even the magician) knew what happened to the deck. Bummer.

o_O WOW!!!

Tat is an amazing effect. Maybe that magician can find out what actually happened and recreate the "accident"!!

Then he could name the trick " Card From Ceiling" lol

But come to think of it, there has been several cases where a magician accidentally creates a new effect due to such "miracles".

Imagine all these miracles can be caught on film and combined into a DVD called "Miracles for Magicians", with no explanations whatsoever. haha. That will be a complement to the Miracles for Mortals DVD. :lol:

Lol... Miracles do happen, this reminded me of this performance which i did this trick, i accidentally lost her card which was the 6 of clubs, in the end, i got fed up and asked her to shuffle the deck and turn over the top card.

It was the 6 of clubs after all kind of messed up shuffles. :ph43r:

You can never guess the expression on her face, priceless, and the expression on my face. Priceless and SHOCK.

Once in a while, miracles do happen, if we ever caught it on video. I think it will be a myth which no one would ever solve.
