Hey guys! There's a movie coming around the end of this year called "The Prestige". :!!:

Plot Summary:
It's a mysterious story of two magicians whose intense rivalry leads them on a life-long battle for supremacy full of obsession, deceit and jealousy with dangerous and deadly consequences. From the time that they first met as young magicians on the rise, Robert Angier (Hugh Jackman) and Alfred Borden (Christian Bale) were competitors. However, their friendly competition evolves into a bitter rivalry making them fierce enemies-for-life and consequently jeopardizing the lives of everyone around them. Full of twists and turns, THE PRESTIGE is set against the backdrop of turn-of-the-century London, the exceptional cast includes two-time Oscar® winner Michael Caine, Scarlett Johansson and David Bowie.

I guess it's something magicians can look forward to? You might learn a thing or two about magic... (philosophy-wise)

By the way, I believe the guy who played Wolverine in the X-men movies is the lead male.

Say, if this movie is about magicians, then there would be magic effects inside eh? Wouldn't that equate to exposure? i really hope not.

But yeah, will catch this movie after the exams.

LOL... you ARE right!!!! Wolverine VS Batman :lol: I did a post some months back about this movie, there are 3 other magician themed ones coming up... it should be somewhere in the misc, section of the forums ^_^

I think 'The Illusionist' (also a movie magician themed as said by Ning jie) was already in cinema in USA.

Read a review on a magician's that its very good!!(so there shouldn't be any exposure) Wonder when its coming to Singapore.. Still no news of it yet. :)

At any rate, we could maybe organise a meeting or something (esp if its after exams) to watch together. I'm sure it would be a blast! :g:

Just wondering... how many of you would actually come down (and bring your friends/ girlfriends/ boyfriends/ family/ neighbours/ etc.) down with you if we actually try to book a theatre? :P It's quite a far-fetched idea... but if we can get it to work, it'd be a neat SMC event ^_^ i've made checks... it's slated to come out mid Oct *grinz*
