Title: Shoet And Prime Cut
Description: Need review of "Prime Cut" and "SHOET"

Hi,

I am interested in the SHOET effect. Does anyone have this? Could you please provide a short review of the trick? Is it worthed it? Does it require sleight of hand? On a scale of one to ten, how hard is it to perform this effect?

Can someone also comment on the "Prime Cut" DVD?

I think there is a Prime Cut review lying around somewhere in SMC.

But what is Shoet??

I've been using Shoe't for quite a long time.

Honestly its a great effect but it has to fit your character. An elegant magician wouldn't want a signed card to appear in his shoe. I think its more suited for comedy performers.

Its very easy to do so long as you know how to p*** cards well.

Oh no. Sounds bad. I'm bad at P*****g cards. Fingers are too short. Looks unnatural when I do it. It always peep out from either sides. I think that more or less gave away the trick. :ph43r:

Finally got my shoet and tried it out on a couple of people. They were all blown away by it. I strongly recommend this trick.

While I have problem P****** cards as explained before, the misdirection is so good that there is almost no way to get caught during shoet. It can be reset right in front of the audience without them knowing anything.

It is very easy to do. The effect is very strong.

Since both prime cut and shoet are the two latest effect I got, I conbime them both together. For primecut, I used an improvised version that I knew before getting the DVD.

Audience choose any card, sign it, and then they shuffle it themself in the deck before handing the whole deck to you. I ask them if they are confident of cutting the deck to the exact same card. They say no. I lay the deck infront of them (I do not hold the deck like it is done in the prime cut DVD), and without touching it again, ask them to cut half the deck. As they do that, I announce, "I will you to cut the same card". They succeed.

The second time they try the trick, they cut the wrong card, I tell them to try again, and they miss it again. I then tell them that sometimes, wierd things happen when I am doing magic. The cards disappear instead of appearing. I then mention that sometimes, the card vanishes and appears in the "hardest to reach" place. (This sometimes get a snicker from them). I then remove my shoes with my other leg and look down. They see the card in my shoe, and when I pick it up, it is the card they sign.
