Sudden Deck 2 by David Regal

A perfect way to introduce a deck of cards!

Effect

A blank unfolded card box visibly prints itself, then is folded into the shape of a box, and a regulation deck of cards is magically produced from it.

"I wish I thought of it. You nailed it. You solved the problem".
- Paul Harris

Sudden Deck 2 review

Here's what you get:

1 x Detailed instructions with photos
2 x blank box gimmicks
1 x red box gimmick
1 X blue box gimmick

Now this is what's great about it:
Some of you may know that this marketed effect is actually an improvement of David Regal's very own Magic Caste act. He actually uses it as an opener and it's a powerful one too! The 2 page instructions are easy to read and follow, with well taken photos to guide you along. Easy to read English, short and sweet lines, you won't get lost or baffled :) No sleights needed, in case you're wondering!

The setup is actually very simple and you don't need anything else other than the props already supplied. I think this would be brilliant for stage and parlour, and also, for TV. So if you're thinking of you-tubing this, it'd be an excellent effect. Close up is also very possible, you just need to be mindful of the angles as with any trick that uses gaffs.

The provided gimmicks are very well made (as with all original Regal products) and upon closer scrutiny, I really started giggling... as always, his quirky sense of humour really gets to me sometimes. At a glance, the print of the boxes look exactly like your regular Bike stock, but if you take a second to study it, you'd realise David Regal's done some very clever adjustments to really make this one his own. Ingenius! Have fun spotting the nicely-blended changes when you get this ;)

On the whole, Sudden Deck 2 is certainly very well-made, cleverly devised, and I think this is the perfect opener for any card trick. With practise, there is no reason to goof this one up. It's easy to do and looks really visual too!

So, in a nutshell:
David Regal has never let me down in the consistency of his product line. I would highly recommend this to card workers looking for a snazzy opener that has a big impact with the audience or judges (if you're in a magic competition). These well-made gimmicks should last you for a while unless you do not treat them well. Check out the video link provided above, to see how visual this effect is! Snap, and it changes! A worthwhile purchase!!!! :)

Cheers,
Ning ^_^

Haha i also wanna put it on youtube!

The problem is i don't have video camera. I don't want to post some poor quality stuff on the net. Its actually quite scary if you post video on the internet, once its there it'll be there forever o_O

Maybe i'll post a video when i have my own camera crew ba! :P
