Heh, interesting topic.

Magic related? I'm saving up for Ultrasmoke.
As for non-magic related stuff, I'm saving to buy a guitar.

Just a thought. Does it ever seem to you guys that your wishlist keeps piling and piling while the money just never comes?

yong_tianadeline - October 3, 2006 01:07 PM (GMT)
I'm saving for... saving for.. hmm.
I can't even make up my mind what i am saving for.
Many a times, i am saving for something half way then i go somewhere and spend it all up.

Magic related: Full set of Jeff McBride's Manipulation Dvds

Still magic related: Membership fees.

Non magic related: I really can't think of anything much. Anyway, most of the time, i will just blow it all on magic. Ha. :g:

Bathory album
Thus Spake Zarathursa by Friedrich Nieztsche.
A couple of decks.
Dan and Dave's Winter DVDs.

Lefty - October 5, 2006 05:41 AM (GMT)
Erm... I spend too much on magic... Trying to ask myself to save up and stop buying props for stage, which is super impossible, because i just ordered 2 vanishing candles, 2 appearing candles, 1 vanishing cane, and i forget the other things that i ordered,

So, i am trying to stop spending on Magic to get some spare cash to shop.

Lamadude - October 7, 2006 04:53 PM (GMT)
I think many a times, i save and save. but when i have enough money, it feel it is a waste to get the items. haiz. The complexity of the mind.

Adrian

Winder - October 7, 2006 05:10 PM (GMT)
Magic:

AOA Set By Paul Harris

(Gold) Ninja Rings

Non Magic:

(Motorola Handphone) ROKR E2

This are the stuff which i am trying to save up for, but always can't, cause i don't even know what i spend my $$$ on.

I totally agree here... but most of the time I'll still end up using the money to buy something else, especially decks (buy them faster then i use them)

As for now, I'm not actually saving:
1. kaos
2. Indecent

but waiting for these to arrive:
1. Box Monster
2. Fraud

As I'm waiting, I'm contemplating

lukold - October 7, 2006 09:35 PM (GMT)
Bugatti Veyron :D

zomaziz - October 8, 2006 12:32 AM (GMT)
It's hard to prioritise, I suppose.
A tip i heard about saving money is that you've got to be patient! B)

bigbadwolf - October 8, 2006 01:56 AM (GMT)
hmm not saving for anything particular, if there is really one thing, its most likely a car.

but i have a wishlist though

Mike Power's Power Play
John Born's Meant to Be
The Dean's Set of Soft Morgan Dollars
The Apocalypse Book 1-4
Impossiblia by John Bannon (anybody selling a copy of it? I'm interested )

Nokia N73
Playstation 3
More cash to support the above items :P

[Ling] - October 8, 2006 03:24 AM (GMT)
Rammstein's Völkerball DVD. =D

Andy - October 8, 2006 03:39 AM (GMT)
Saving for my future marriage!!

Darry - October 8, 2006 09:35 AM (GMT)
Hmm. Magic related, I'm saving up for Toony Angel.

Non-magic related, a new phone.

Icy - October 9, 2006 04:37 AM (GMT)
I am saving up for NOTHING. (pun intended)

muscleaxl - October 9, 2006 08:44 AM (GMT)
Non-magic related:

1. A Car- Toyota Vios;
2. A new laptop- Dell;
3. A Handphone- The very slim Samsung phone (forgot the model no)
4. Capital to start a business

Magic related:

1. A very cool trick I saw at a magic shop called Queen Assembly.
2. Another cool trick called Extreme. (wonder does the dealer here sell packet tricks?)
3. Revolutionary Coin Magic

Actually, I can afford to buy all the magic stuff now, but I just want to resist the temptation of spending too much on magic. Life, afterall, is more than just magic.

3. Revolutionary Coin Magic

Trust me, cancel these 2 off your list, and get a Invisible deck and a source to teach you coin sleights..

Extreme and Revolutionary Coin Magic definietly cost more than an Invisible deck and maybe a Bobo Modern Coin Magic Book, but to me, they're definitely WORTH less.. Why? You wouldnt want to know.. Plain bullshit. Hahaha.

muscleaxl - October 9, 2006 12:34 PM (GMT)
Hmm... actually I have ID already. I'm just very curious how Extreme works.
Without exposing anything, able tell me why Extreme is BS? Eg: Very impractical or totally non-examinable?

Regarding Revo Coin Magic, I've heard that it's quite good for advanced coin sleights. I mean I do know most of the basic coin sleights so I was wanting to get this to upgrade my coin work. I don't like to read books, so Bobo is out for me. I've borrowed it from library before and I fell asleep while reading it.

Anyway, what's wrong with the Dvd?

dtjk - October 9, 2006 02:52 PM (GMT)
Do a quick search under the coin section and you'll see why.

http://forums.singaporemagiccircle.com/ind...?showtopic=2845

Revolutionary Coin Magic?? I got 2 words for that effect: TV/Video/Camera Magic.

---

As for Extreme, I own this effect before. It is quite smart actually, but its actually not that strong compared to ID.

The reaction you get from ID is like.. "WTF? Oh my god.. Impossible sia!!"

But the reactions for Extreme is like.. "Eh? How come will liddat..?" Its more of puzzling/mind-boggling than shock/astonishment.

You can get it just for the curiousity towards the secret, but I can foresee it wont be something you carry around like the ID.. Its also.. bulkier, cant really say much or will expose. Lets just say.. Although the presented effect only used ONE deck.. There's more stuff(s) that you gotta carry.. :D

---

Lastly.. Lets get back on the topic! :P

I'm saving for a.. PSP! (Non-magic related)

For magic related.. I dunno, YET. :D

muscleaxl - October 10, 2006 10:58 AM (GMT)
Ok, I think you and I got a bit of mistake here.

I was actually referring to Revolutionary Coin Magic by Jay Sankey, not Revolution Coin Vanish by E.

I think Sankey's stuff should be good.

Regarding Extreme, yeah, maybe I should drop it, judging from the way you described it.

Ning - October 10, 2006 11:33 AM (GMT)
I'm STILL saving up for a cute Vespa, which I'd modify to fully personalise and I need a new phone too... the new LG Chocolate phone looks very yummy, so it's my current dreamboat ^_^ Plus, my computer's really old and dying on me so I hope to get a sweet laptop soon too!

If Santa Claus does exist, please PM me... thank you! I've been a very good girl all year ;) I try to save but all my pocket money goes to magic!!!

Revolutionary Coin Magic is indeed good though I can't say that for his other dvds. Sankey has plenty of ideas.

Anyway, I'm saving for my kid's education.

inuutel - October 11, 2006 05:48 AM (GMT)
What i'm saving up for?

I'm saving money to buy for more stuff from ning. :D :D
The new ps2 game "Bully" and "Guitar Hero".
A kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R. :g:

Ning - October 11, 2006 11:38 AM (GMT)
Oooooooooooh!!! Yes! The Kawasaki Ninja is one of the sexxxiest bikes around. If I wasn't a scooter fan I'd gotten that or the Yamaha R1 *drool* You've got GREAT taste inuutel!!! ;)

Poor Magicdow... this is what happens when you have kids :P Everything you have goes to them!!! Jiayou!

And Winder... I don't believe in Santa Claus anymore, but I suspect the tooth fairy still exists :g:

Is anyone saving up for a trip to Korea? :!!:

inuutel - October 11, 2006 01:13 PM (GMT)
Probably take me more agonizin tiring overtimes to get the bike.

:g: :g: :g:

That means Magicdow is a wonderful father.

And of all days, I was wearing our SMC t-shirt... "How did I do what?" -_- *evil laugh*

:off: :off: :off:

lukold - October 11, 2006 06:57 PM (GMT)

inuutel - October 12, 2006 12:23 AM (GMT)
