For Brad Manuel's dice cup. The dice that comes with it are red casino dice. The chopped dice is the same but cannot stand close scrutiny but it does the job.
The cup is leather bound polycarbonate, its actually a sort of pipe with a base and covered by leather. This cup can stack 6, it is slim and tall. Not bad but a bit pricey.
Stephane Bourgoin's dice cup is different. This one comes with a very nice routine together with the final loads (except for the watch). The chopped dice is very well done, can be examinable.
This cup is made in leather and you can use this for dice stacking but my advice is not to. The leather is not as hard as a proper dice stacking cup.
If you want to stack a 6 high column, get the Manuel's cup.
If you want a chop cup routine that makes logical sense, get the Bourgoin's cup.
If you want a leather cup that can withstand dice stacking and able to use as a chop cup, Frank Starsini makes a very good cup but the price is not cheap.
I have Brad Manuel's Dice Cup, and I'm not sure if it is the one that Cadbury provided in the URL, cos according to Magicdow, it can stack 6 dices, but mine can only stack 5 dices.
I got mine from Brad himself sometime ago when he was in Singapore conducting a Dice Stacking Lecture. The way Brad used his cup was totally.. fantastic. You'll never see it coming, first he does some gay dice stacking with his cup, and after that, he proceeded into a little guessing "game", and thats when the chop cup does its magic. None of us (magicians) thought that he was using a chop cup, it was like just.. too subtle? Dunno how to explain, but I'm sure you get it. B)
A little magic after an incredible feat of dice stacking? Sounds perfect..
The cup is nice to stack, but it gets scratched easily. For mine, when I first received it, it has a couple of large dents and scratches, which I believe it probably due to some bumping during transportation. :( Oh well.. But other than that, it's great. The sound of the dice "inside" the cup is very nice. You show the cup empty by lifting it up, and then you can make the sound that the dice is STILL inside the cup, but once again lift up the cup and show it empty. Of course, you can produce the dice whenever you want; everything is in control. :D
When I have the extra cash, I'm gonna get the other one and play around.. :g:
Sorry, my mistake. It can stack 5 only. :P
