Title: Abnormal Bicycle Deck
Description: Stick to Tigers and Ghosts

Just to give a review on the Bicycle Black Deck I bought (regrettably..). SO for anyone who wants to buy it, well, just keep your money for other stuff (anyway, I don't see anyone else using it so I guess I am the only dud who bought it).
Pro:
1. The court cards look really nice. More eerie than Ghost or Tiger.
2. Comes with 4 gaff cards.
3. Thin, easy to manipulate.
Con:
1. Very oily feel to the cards. I personally dislike it.
2. The borders of the back are white but the face are black, so can't turn a card inside the deck. Can't do many of the routines.
3. Misled to think there is a "Elevator Card" but no, no sign of any such card and not even a card with an elevator picture on it.
4. Only 2 of the gaft cards are usable in practical situation, the other 2, eh, go figure it out how to use.
Anyway, I am never going to get anything from Penguin. Period.

It's quite amusing to me when I saw you saying how bad "abnormal bike decks" are, and yet asking people to stick to the abnormal Tigers and Ghosts.

He never said it was bad.
The thread is just about bicycle decks which are not normal. He then goes on to give a bad review about the black deck, and doesn't specifically state that all abnormal bikes are bad.
Btw, unless I'm mistaken, the black deck isn't a Penguin product. It's just one of the things that are sold by them. It's available at murphys as well. It's like ellusionist selling Dan and Dave's System. Not produced or made by them.

Yup, ming is right. This thread is about THE BLACK DECK only.
Tigers and Ghost do not have the disadvantages of TBD, so if you want to use those fancy looking "abnormal" decks, then stick to these 2.

Exactly the same issues with my Yellow Deck. I think these decks by Magic Makers aren't as good in quality as compared to those by E. What
s worse is that the ink used didn't really sink in well with the stock... thus making the deck quite unfannable.

Again, i think these are great if you're a card collector... they aren't all that great to do magic with. You might just get heckled when you perform with these funky looking cards  Sweet for flourishing maybe, since you'd want something fancy. But then, this is just imho ^_^ I personally love the feel of Tally Hos... so they're the best alternatives after regular Bikes, and worth the $$$ too! :P
My 2 Cents...
