I dun like it.

Everyone will know that it is the card that is gimmick, i mean even those outside of magic circle.

Show a routine, not just about the card that the pip will move. Show the 8 of diamond, then find the card to be 6 of diamond, then move the pips, switch back to 8.

Somemore, what else you want us to say? The pip moves by itself, no sleights esp for a force. Totally no comments.

i thought it looked cool, thats all :g: :g: even if they think its gimmicked..we can switch to a real card...

isn't this the same one as you did from Forces Unseen??

it look really good.

does this gimmick come with the book or it teaches you how to construct it?

This is from a different book, from a japanese magician . :g:

Its a pity, if I got a product like that, I'd make sure my routine is solid..

Btw, is that the Moving Pips thingy that Cyril used?

If i were to perform live then i will provide presentation, in video seems funny. This is just a demo of how it looks like.

And by the way this is not the one cyril uses, mine is a simpler version which can be constructed urself. :!!: :!!:

First of all, the effect looks cool!

But in the video, the moving pips card is on a card box right? Does it have to be on the card box? I'm not trying to fish for methods here but to me it looks weird to put the card on the card box before the pips can move.

And can the speed of the pips moving be controlled? I find it a bit too fast. I think it will look nicer if the pips move slowly. It will create a creepy effect if the pips are moving slower, like the one cyril did.

If I am not wrong:

The book in question is called "5 x 5 Japan". This effect, called "New Era Moving Pip" is from Tomo Maeda.

Don't bother looking for it; it's out of print. Though "5 x 5 Scotland" (a different book) is still available.

So where can I get a hand on this card huh ?

chanzian - October 10, 2006 10:09 AM (GMT)
doesnt make sense to me...the pips moved..but the indexes are still 6..

Not many people know this but a better alternative to moving pips is actually Dan Harlan's PIP ART imho ^_^ Similar yet different but also as visual... it's very cute, worth checking out!

ning :)

Ok heres the full description for this effect, first of all i place the card inside of the cellophane. The box is not gimmicked, the reason i put it in the cellophane is to show that i got a prediction that is at the box, so when u start this effect u say u got one prediction that is on the box.

And then proceed to pick a card, and ya the speed can be controlled. But i just learned it, so maybe my handling abit rushing, hehehehe :P :P right after i make the gimmicked, i practice it like 5 mins and proceed to record it. LoL :g:

and for some guy who said the pips moves but the number didnt change. That doesnt matter, we just need them to see that the diamond slowly moves to make it 8 diamonds so its the same as the chosen card. :!!:

Thats all.

haha cool! Now the whole routine makes sense!!

As for the problem of the index not changing, its not a big deal like what binaryzero_1 said. Most people will be too shocked to notice that the index did not change ^_^

For me I will perform another colour change to change the index of the card.
