Ok maybe not those hardcore hecklers that are all out to ruin your trick..but you know..sometimes..people are just curious whether you really put their card in the middle..or when sometimes you hand them an indifferent card for them to put into the centre..they might have hand spasm and turn the card over..almost like instinct..

i was sitting down on my sofa playing with my deck, when this idea SUDDENLY struck me. "what if they really just suay suay turn over the card??"

Honestly i seldom pass them the indifferent card to put it in themselves cause i have no balls. But i would really want to cos it makes the effect that much stronger. So this is what i thought..

-spectator turns over card or say u put different card in-

magician : "Oh did i?"

check yourself and 'realizes' it REALLY is a different card. look puzzled and then say: "ahhh that's right..this card with your signature on it, amongst magicians, we call it the AMBITIOUS card. As the name suggest, it IS ambitious and always wants to climb to the top. sometime is it so michievious that it switches identity with another card even before you can put it in the middle."

-here u can do a shapeshifter, a TC (of cos without the spectator knowing) or the one that u shake and the card changes (cant remm the name)-

magician : "so you can see your card is very naughty. how can we ensure that your card really goes to the centre? by placing the card faced up."

-here u can do a pass or marlo tilt and colour change..what ever u feel like-

then u just end with braue pop up move..and by this time it make sense to bend the card cos u want them to know that it is REALLY their card that is going into the middle.

err what do you guys think. It jus an idea. i have yet to make it happen yet.

It's pretty good. :g:
I usually let the spectator cut the deck though, while I hold on to the indifferent. But anyway, this is a pretty good way to "clean up" with patter. The spectator might actually fool himself by doing so.

Just my thoughts.

Actually you don't have to worry that much whether the spectator would turn over as long as you keep talking and relax yourself. You're only showing a magic trick just keep both yourself and the spectator calm. Pass him the indifferent card don't pay any attention to it.

Immediately get them to stick it into the middle.

With ACR i always assess the crowd and see if they're good to manage, if not i'll just play it safe

there are 2 moves that u can show the card physically go into the middle of the deck using Marlo's Miracle CC and TP and another one which i can't remember the name but is taught on Daryl's Ambitious card trick dvd

I always include those 2 sleights in my ACR routine and they always silence the crowd when they start become suspicious that i am putting an indifferent card into the deck

good luck !!

Angel sensitive . Yes , but i wouldn't say too angle sensitive

I learnt both variations of Miracle card change from Ninja 2 ( where brad was very detailed in his teachings about angles blah blah ) and also from Darryl's Ambitious card dvd so with the right amount of practise / pattering and misdirection u'll be fine

i also take a step back while doing it to make the angles better , just gotta condition ur audience that it's nothing . :P

but miracle card change is to me a top move in ACR

Guys, not sure about this... but isnt this thread revealing the mechanics of ACR a bit?

Sort of like people immediately know its ACR the moment its performed the next time they see it and may heckle thereafter.
